Are they in the works for SA? What can we Expect? Less, More, appropriate?
Shadow wyrm loot in felucca is horrible.
Start here: double gold on all monsters.
Nah, forget gold. Gold is bountiful.
We need mods to drop more often on high fame creatures.
i would like to see more intensity to mods off things 5 mods is easy to get but 5 mods all at 50+% intensity is damn rare to find off anything except peerless , Champs , Doom bosses greater dragons, and even they spawn rarely with big luck. Be nice to see the % intensity to be higher.
Ummm, you kinda proved my point. Gold is bountiful. That's why it needs to be at least doubled on monsters right now as its hardly worth looting them sometimes.
Actually I think the plan is for less, not more. The amount of gold in game needs to be drastically reduced.
More creatures like the ant lion with bones of a mage (neat Idea) or like the Rat mage that drops the little statues.
Things of that nature is what I am hoping for. Some lower to mid range creatures too not just the uber 9,999,999 HP peerless.
Even If they are worthless, little things like the deamon bone armor and glacial staff kept me pretty busy. The plague beast lord puzzle cut and snip for the core, or provoke onto the plague beast for the dull copper chest.
I don't get it.
Petra's got it right, though.
I'd also like to see the amount of gold reduced, although I don't think it'd work unless EA forcibly remove all gold and make everyone start from scratch again.
(I think it will only favour those who are already "rich" in the long run if they don't level the playing field, because the value of their gold would actually increase as the market price drops. I'm no expert in economics though, and I could be very wrong.)
I agree with this one hundred percent. It's the little things in life that bring the most pleasure.
Wish my girlfriend thought the same thing!!
I'm sorry I just couldn't resist, I'm like a 12 year old. lol.
To begin with, philosophically I agree, and have for a long, long time. The trouble is that it's been a long, long time, and that inherently has great consequence - consequence that at this point in time seems irreversible. Scaling back now, despite frustrations over what "should have been," only serves benefit to two groups, those who have duped gold beyond all reason and those who market and sell it external to the game. There are only two viable routes, and they don't include "scaling back." One is to completely change the standard of our currency, i.e. switching from gold to another medium. You'd wipe the slate clean, but would need some means of alleviating player anger and frustration when they lost the value of gold they legitimately earned. To do so, unfortunately you'd also reward that gold derived from ill "source." Therefore, it likely can't be so. The other route is to make gold more, not less, accessible through game play. With the recent change to weight, it seems this route is the direction we're headed. I don't begrudge this direction, but like many, wish that it didn't actually become so necessary!
The point of removing all gold is as stated bad for the economy.. BUT if new items were able to be bought ONLY with a new currency that has yet to be farmed or duped then it could work just fine..
Example 1 = Fire elemental NPC only trades in item from its realm, due to if you gave it ice, what need would it have of such an item..
Example 2 = I am a gold elemental. Why would I need your gold coins that are like looking in a fish market when you yourself are a fish.
Besides the best items in game should be a REWARD from QUESTS not random loot. Bosses should drop chests that have items of great value, thus the very reason they were locked and guarded to begain with.
I agree but how to do this without making the poor poorer would make it hard for new and upcoming characters to compete with the insanely rich we have now ...
why not make everyone mad and delete half of all the money in the game
