I have lost 2 pets that were bonded for
years in the past month and a half.
When I first came back my house had fallen
so I took my Dread Mare out to start training it so I could
get top Gold prices when I sold her.

One night I'm out training her and I have a client crash.
I restart client and when I relog on the Mare's gone ...
I page GM and they tell me to do this and that , but
the Dread Mare never returns . :(

So 2 nights ago I get attacked by TnT members , I had already had
a warning that they were around so I was in the process of stripping down
all my gear to put into the bank when 5-6 TnT appear to kill
little OL me . I guess the figure they need a army to take me down :D ...
So I'm dead and I log for pet so they don't kill my Greater Dragon and
I run to the brit gate to go to Luna for a rez and I log again to get pet back.

It comes back and the gets guard whacked . BAM ... DEAD ... But no Ghost .
Ok no problem I am a tamer with 120 vet , I can rez my own pets np .
I relog again to see if my Greater comes back as a ghost but nope ....
    I relog 3, 4 , 5 times and nothing .
Page a GM and get the same stupid AZZ response I got when I lost my Dread Mare on how to log next to a stable and Blah Blah Blah ....
I'm beggging to hate EA and their nonreponse to everything these days.

Has this happened to anyone else recently ??? I am getting tired of spending
all the time it takes to train a good pet and lose it in such a stupid manner.

Before you all start asking , Yes it was bonded , Yes it was wonderfully happy and Yes it was fed on a regular basis ... :cursing:

Three occassions that i can think of that pets have been lost are these:
a)There used to be a bug that unbonded pets in a champ spawn area (This was a couple of years ago and has been fixed).
b)Years back a pet would cross a server line and get killed. This has also been fixed.
c)Fighting with a pet during the invasion would unbond a pet (i think this may have happened during the halloween invasion also but not sure).

A helpful hint for future, keep your pets on seperate pet balls.

Bummer to hear about this, but a better pet is always out there somewhere.

you were keeping them fedd and "wonderfully happy" right? i lost one when i first started taming in a champ...but later realized its cuz i didnt feed him. If they are fight/traing hard..u need to feed them often. if i take a GD to a champ..ill feed it a ton.

Feeding a pet alot has nothing to do with losing it. Constantly giving a pet commands and it not obeying will cause it to go wild eventually. But no competent tamer will do this as usually the tamer will feed a pet after one or two (at most) failed commands.

The main thing Ive seen is the command and it "barks at you saying no", Ive seen pets in 3 commands not listening go wild, so if you dont have sound on turn it on and listen, if it barks feed it, if it barks again feed it again.

Logging out with a loaded blue beetle is a mistake also.

And I dont think its a good idea to log out a tamer in Stat.

So it seems a few of us have lost a Dread Mare or 2 .

I also make sure to use the pet's name in
my command macro like "All Follow Me".
My Greater Dragon was named All... :D
I always make sure to feed the beasts after all champs ,
    Mels or it dyeing too.

I hate spending so much time on training a pet and lose it
so easily seems like such a waste. The worst was the Dread Mare .
Only one I've ever had, thanks to a guild mate I have a better
Greater Dragon and will be bonded any day .
