From other threads it looks like the devs are looking into this problem. I would like to suggest to the devs that they stop boat decay right away. Eventually all boats will be found, but if they decay first, the ship and all contents will be lost forever. I can live without the ship, but will be quite upset if I lose the fruits of 40 hrs. plus crab fishing and mib loot stored on board.

Paged a GM. Showed up in about an hour and took care of the problem. Started 18 in cue and he appeared at 8.

I paged a GM for this issue earlier. I started at #8

Couldn't recall to ship. Location unknown. Rune said owner: unknown, location: Dry Docked.

While waiting for a gm I hit up the Moonglow fish monger to verify I had left it on that subserver and that it was still on said server. Sure enough the monger knew my ship was "in the area". This would be good info I think should a gm respond.

I decided while waiting for the gm to just go search for the damn thing as I was getting impatient and bored sitting around in my tower twiddling my cyber thumbs.

I whipped out the itty bitty netbook and had a char from other acct launch a legacy boat and leave the key for my fisherman.

I combed the subserver for 2 hours and 2 minutes when I finally found her.
I climbed aboard and brought her to shore and dry docked her.
I recalled back to the legacy boat and did the same for that.

Got back to my tower safe and secure and checked my journal. Still #8 on the list (sigh). I canceled my request for help and logged off.

This is why with the exception of one time several years ago I never page a gm.
I find that I am much more capable of solving my problems then they are.
I just thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt in the hopes I could get this issue resolved without spending hours looking for a ship that should have been where I left it or at the very least been able to be recalled onto.

    Silly me :)

In the country of Fixitstan where the GMs live, 8 is really 1. When my cue number got to 8, my GM showed. Just curious if anyone has been lower than 8 in the last few years.

I've got to say, though, that I was pleasantly surprised to have the problem resolved in a reasonable time. He was courteous and even asked if I had any other issues before he left.

It's great to hear the GM's are 'johnny-on-the-spots' to assist in finding the boats for folks. My boating buddy & I were able to find our boats without GM paging as Atlantic had a small pool of seekers out taking notes and posting & we had an inkling of the general vicinities.

Another good note: We'd kinda gotten complacent wrt HS boating adventures and holding mental note as to where boat was last anchored.:p With this latest potential threat of loss of a couple precious Orc boats and an uber precious Brit ship (though cohort knew exactly where their Brit ship was - lol) we've rekindled the luv and appreciation for our Orc boats, swabbed the deck, cleaned up the cargo hold, shined the brass and embarked on more HS boating adventures since.
