So I've been training up one of my chars by hunting in Magincia since the current ghost/rubble turn-in quest event started. I hunt with her there nearly daily, gathering threads. Needless to say, I know the spawn rate/locations pretty well (if you kill them faster, more of them spawn, and vice versa, etc). The past couple of days (on Baja), Magincia has been totally berserk. The first time that I noticed something was wrong, I went through the moongate and my entire screen was filled with corrupted souls. Generally, around the moongate there is anywhere from 1-6 of these ghosties, but this time it was as though the entirety of the spawn had been trained/herded/whatevered to the moongate. I managed to do a few drive bys and kill them all off and the spawn returned to normal. I assumed that someone had intentionally gathered all the corrupted souls on the entire island and trained 'em to the moongate just for giggles. Today, however, I gated in and there were FOUR corrupted souls on the entire island. Even when my char had very low skills (by the way, Magincia is an excellent place to train right now), was alone on the island, and would take eons to kill a single soul, there were always far more than a couple ghosties. Are these two experiences totally fluke coincidences, or is the spawn on Magincia totally screwy right now? Does it have anything to do with the fact that we have an invasion happening there right now on Baja (and everyone is sick of killing off the invaders, so they've been there a while)? Is this issue/problem happening on other shards? Should I really be thinking so much about spawn rate at 7am? Probably not.. it's just become one of my favorite places to hunt.. peaceful, bright, sunny island surrounded by ghosts, what's not to love?
