What's the most profitable way for a GM blacksmith to earn gold?

I have an old blacksmith from 9 years ago, and i'm thinking of using up whatever ingots I currently have to get enough gold to get settled down in UO.

I don't have imbuing, and i don't intend to bring my smithing higher than 100.

I would do bods and sell the POF. People are still buying the powder for imbuing, might get 10+ jars and announce in general chat that you have some for sale.

That sounds like a good idea.

I used to make loads of items and npc them; is this still profitable?

When I was training my blacksmith oh-so-many years ago, I found exceptional shadow iron heater shields to be a very good money maker.

Unless you want to go intensive into blacksmithing (bods) it would be more profitable to sell your ingots. Especially if you have reserves of dc and shadow. (Definately DONT make shadow heaters and sell them to the npcs. Fellow smiths would pay more for the ingots.)

@Shaunus: At GM smithing (without a decent ash + talisman) you wont do too much out of dragon barding deeds. Getting them except is the problem at GM. Not to mention that they need 750 ingots each.
