Can someone tell me what I need to do. I have a gm scribe and have been trying to make Necro books with mods, but only get exceptional. Out of over 1k scrolls, none have the mods like what I've seen on some laying in the Cavern of the Discard. I didn't know where else to ask. BTW, that account isn't upgraded, if that has anything to do with it? Thanks.

You sure your not confusing the necro books with mage books? I know mage books can be modded but i thought the only necro book with mods on it was the Osian Grimoire

its the same as having magery and ei to get stuff added onto normal magic books.

try putting necro and SS onto your scribe and see what ya get.

Thank you, Poo. I got to thinking that might be the trick. I appreciate your help. And to the others, thanks for your input, but yes, I'm talking Necro books that a scribe can make just like Mage ones with the same sort of mods. I didn't know it either until I found some in the Abyss laying around.

I hope you are not going for super slayer necro book . i spent around 40 k scrolls to make a super slayer Mystisicm book , only to find out it only works for mage spells :coco:

I made about 100 necro books using a GM scribe with jeweled out 120/120 Necro/si and 120 magery/115 eval just in case, and equipped the Scibe tali from Library turn-in. I got about 70% with mods, a couple with 3 mods, lot ofslayers but no super slayers. I did get 5 Necro 11 mods and about the same number Necro +10 ones. Most of my chars now carry and imbued +26 imbued jewel combo, +10 necro book and Spirit Totem. Invest 10 "real" skill points in necro & SS and any char can summon a Familiar to act as vacuum cleaner gor gold drops at champs...

  8. I have never seen a player made Necromancy book with any mods. But not sure why you would want a slayer book considering necro spells do not effect the spell damage of necro spells. I would love to have my poison spike do double or triple damage.

I just made several of these including 1 Reptile slayer was very excited about it, so i decided to go test them i used a ogre slayer on Arctic Ogre Lords and regular ogres Necro spells still arent affected by the super slayer mods on these books, but magery spells are still doubled or tripled while holding these. Kinda sux cause i was excited about these :sad4:
