Is it 12 or 14?
I don't think there really is a cap on it. It is a system of diminishing returns - beyond 12 or 14 - each additional point is just not worth the property slot in your suit...
By the way, the Stratics Mana Regen Page is wrong.
...and so is the UOguide page
Pub 46 Notes:
The Mana Regeneration item property is now subject to the principle of diminishing returns.
* The hard cap on MR has been removed.
* As the total MR from items increases, each successive point of MR will give less overall mana regeneration.
o This means that adding more MR will always give more mana regeneration.
o This also means that as you put more MR items on, you get less of a bonus from each additional MR item.
* Having higher Meditation and / or Focus skill will give a bonus to mana regeneration gained from MR items.
* Meditation and /or Focus will now benefit for intermediate values and not just for multiples of 10 (i.e. 80.1 used to give you same MR bonus at 89.9).
The latter isn't anymore.
Or, at least the equipment part isn't.
I ain't touching the math.
Not sure what you're thinking of cause This page: http://www.uoguide.com/Mana_regeneration
is definitely old info.
if only we can get them to do away with the hard cap on hit point regen
I don't think there is a hard cap on any regen.. just diminishing returns. Through an elf in a Darkwood suit, with Primer, CC, Bracelet of Health, Cloak of Life, and their HP Regen is through the roof. Through in healing/anat/focus and a ring of vile, and they have good stam regen too. Just wish the suit was medable.
There's a definite hard cap on HPR. Tested it on TC.
There is no hard cap but after 10 MR you experience diminished returns and get less back out of MR above 10
Visit the page again and look at the equipment part....I added the following text:
