What's the maximum wrestling of a tame hiryu?

I'm not clear on how much can be trained up after taming loss.

I could be wrong here, but my understanding is that the post - taming wrestling IS the cap if greater than 100. Otherwise, 100 is the cap.

Is that a different rule than GDs then?

My GD's wrestling has increased well past 100 after I tamed it.

I think the difference is if the monster originally has over 100 cap. If so it seems like you could train it up back to where it used to be or further. Maybe there is an internal cap for greater dragons. For example, a greater born with 110 wrestling has the internal limit set at 125. So when you tame it it falls below 100 and then you can train it back to 110 and potentially raise it to 125. Whereas if a greater shows 98 starting wrestling might have a lower internal limit, let's say 108, so no matter how much you train it will never go up to 125 like the other dragon.

My guildie's greater dragon has 121 wrestling and still going. And another guildie of mine stopped at 106 ish i believe.

So I guess this adds to another layer of finding the "perfect" pet now. Especially considering the current pet calculator neglects the skill part so much (maybe because it si so unpredictable?). If you value skill caps, this actually is quite significant. So make sure check the born skills when you tame it.

Pretame they start anywhere between 100-120. They lose 10% when tamed, and that is what their max becomes. I am not sure if they die bonded, if you can train it back up to that.

But, the answer to this question is, tame a 120 wrestling hiryu, and it has 108 capped wrestling, which is the highest. :)

I know before Grt Drags the only pet that could have wrestling above 100 was the Reptalon.

So for your hiryu the max wrestling is 100 unless something has seriously changed.

I also know from experience that if the skill drops below 100 from Deaths it will still retrain above to it's real cap. For my Rep it was 108.

As stated already, the absolute max is 108, if that high immediately after taming (from 120 pretame). Any pretame score btween 119.9 and 110 will also lead to a max above 100 - 10% less than the pretame skill. Any less than 110 pre-tame, the maximum after training will be 100.
It's been this way for years :)

This may be true for Hiryu's but its not true for Greater Dragons.

Greaters will lose 25% (not sure of exact % but this sticks in my head for some reason) upon tame. they can retrain up to 10% of pre-tame stats. Hundreds of greaters later I have not seen any change to say otherwise
