Of course, you can run with this build and kill something, but i would go for more spirit speak and dont forget to include 40 necro.
The thing is, damage eater has been nerfed and its not worth using a shield for this property. It doesnt eat damage,it converts a percentage of damage to health after 4 or 5 seconds, and only if you do not take continuous damage.
You cannot pot very well using a shield, and using those slow weapons against stuff that does heavy stamina damage will get you killed often.
Without bushido you give up a lot of the most usefull things for a melee warrior, like evasion ,confidence and the additional damage from crits and perfection. You cant use feint anymore and lose the -10 mana discount for specials. Chain ai is 30 mana now, hard to keep up with only 45 ss.
Healing on a melee whammy is a waste of points, if you want to save karma against medium critters, use double strike spam and weapon with high life leech.

There are lots of fun builds possible using wraith and curse weapon, think your template is a bit on the ineffective side.
