I quit playing a year or two ago because I was bored with uo. Same old issues and instead of fixes...we got new content. After drifting through a bunch of games that have never quite scratched the gaming itch like UO did, I'm thinking really hard about reopening my main accounts and giving it another go. Hearing there was an expansion specifically for fishing and boats is a huge part of that decision. So I'm curious what the active players think. On the whole...is Uo still worth while? I played pretty consistently from beta through mondains and while not always thrilled with the game...I ALWAYS enjoyed the community aspect of Uo. Is that still a factor? How about the cheating aspect? Cheating and 3rd party programs have always been a part of uo. They talk about bans and fixes and patches, but when I left (and it was part of the reason I stopped playing) it was still happening and while they said it was not allowed...obvious cheaters were killing the UO economy and only stopped when they were ridiculously obvious (like dropping a bag of 100 ornys on the luna bank floor). Is it still the norm or has normal gameplay become the standard now? I'm sure I'm going to reopen at least one acct and check out the High Seas expansion... I'll finally have a use for my bard-fisher besides leviathans. Ty in advance for any info you care to throw my way. And I have my flame-retardant undies on so I'm prepared for the "quitters suck" barrage as well.
