    Hi there,
I'm new to necro and i'm trying to figure out how to have my pets fight with me.

They don't obey to orders, that's fine, but they shouldn't stand idle next to me picking their nose while I get the crap beaten off me, right?

    Thanx for any advice :wall:

I assume you mean the creatures you get from animate dead?

If so, then they sometimes just stand idle until you cast a spell at a monster, then they go bezerk.

Also if your talking about the summon familiar...yes they do, occasionaly they will engage for one hit against a melee(never spells for some reason) hit to you. In general they just stand there.

Indeed, I'm talking about the summon familiar spell :p

So I need to be physically hit (which never happens since I play distance and not melee) and even then they'll only hit once my attacker ?

So what's the point of the vampire bat? It will never heal me if it never hits anything...

    Good question!!

I used to use it at champs, because you do occasionaly get swarmed and start taking hits, at this point the bat will hit some of the mobs hitting you. Imnot sure if it only hits once but it doesnt seem like it hits more than that.

The only really worth using is the shadow wisp and dark wolf in all honesty...oh and horde minion.

The horde minion as pack horse, I guess and the wisp for the mana healing (which I didn't notice yet, never mind :cursing:), but why the wolf?

To tame other wolves without taming skill?
What do you have in mind, a paragon dire wolf or something?

    A bake Kitsune probably.

the wolf also gives like 6 stamina reg and that can be handy on a dexer.

  9. vampire bat is a good addition to any dexer template if your not using any other familiar.

if your meeleeing, you miught as well get some extra damage and hp right?

but might be better, even for a sampire, to have a bake kitsune on hand, or extra mana

if you stand on top of a monster, it will target you, so you can tank, making it good for dire wolf packs as well

Horde minion is like super packy. They can pick up multiple items on the ground in one go.

Shadow Wisps at -5 level karma heals 10 mana per pulse.

Wolf gives you 1 stam every 2 seconds that's 5 stam regen. Good for pushing thru and surviving from strangle pain spike spam when you run out of red pots. And let you tame wolves. And bites pretty hard.

    Death Adder DPs

Vamp Bat attacks with higher frequency and the damage it caused will heal you.

They are all very useful, but if you want something like all kill and own them all, play a tamer. :D
