Mythic: no hurries on account migration

    Simply just take the time to do it right.

    I have been happily playing the game for over 14 years and can remember far worse issues then this. I am quite confident that no houses will mistakenly fall so what is the big deal?

    My free Seer account is currently in limbo or gone. It happens to be one of the most valuable accounts in existence because of its age/Seer status/items.
    Not exactly crazy about this situation but no real big deal. It will sort itself out. Just please take the time to do it right.

    It aint easy being a Uo vet but its still the best.

    Yes for once get it right the first time please....

    Yes they cant help me they say... till its over.... I know many are not happy we have/had accounts that were "free"

    My only beef is that I am anxious to apply my SA upgrade code. But the reason I am anxious is because I am so very much loving the game so far, so I can't fault them for that part :)

    As far as the seer accounts go... I wouldn't even mind if I was the only person in the game paying a sub, as long as the value was there for me, and it is. I think it's great that people got free playability for their time, and i also have no issues if those folks passed those accounts off to somebody else.

    I just want to play in the Stygian Abyss, make a gargoyle and have access to the expansion housing tiles... sometime this month please :)

    hope the seer accounts get straightened out though, that's a heck of a loss if not. Here's to hoping! :pint:

    So play the EA CSR roulette and hope you get somebody to give you a 90 day game time extension until they sort it out.

    Maybe it should have been done properly before even going in.
    It should have been tested and restested and user friendly.
    No hurries. LOL
    How about put it back the way it is until they get it right?

    yeah, no hurries, in 2 months due to not being able to pay for my accounts I'll have saved enough from not playing uo to replace a good portion of the front suspension on my car, granted I'll have probably moved on from UO completely at that point, considering I can't currently play, but hey, no rush, not like I'm the one who will be losing customers over this :D

    My old old old smurf account is still ticking along just fine. Even linked and shows good until 2099..

    While it's unfortunate that there are issues with some accounts, there are many of us who were able to transition smoothly and are up and running.

    No "putting it back" please. I'm up and running just fine. The "linking" process was a bit confusing, but it did work for me, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

    I am sad for the folks that are having issues, and hope that gets sorted out quickly without any further pain for them.

    i still cant pay for my accounts and lost a keep so far.........i say they fix it asap please

    Given that it hasn't been 90 days since this migration started, the only way you could have lost a keep was if you were playing the 3-month game. No offense, but you were only having to pay for that account 4 months out of the year.

    Housing is also on hold from starting decay due to inactivity.. I think if you xferred across accounts then maybe, but still.. unlikely you lost a keep.

    Houses are falling... and decay is active. (it was until last Friday)

    They are falling on accounts that were inactive before the migration or from people who have built new houses and haven't yanked the old houses yet.

    flappy6's keep, if it fell, fell because he had it on an inactive account and was playing the 3 month game.

    3 times a year holds a house
    1 month active paid for + 3 months grace = 4 months of house on 1 payment
    3 times covers a year ...

    Also, we have put backend processes in place that will keep houses from also going inactive.

    (IF they knew HOW to "protect the state of ALL houses" the central timer would have been turned off and left off until "all clear" was sounded ...

    IF they knew HOW, or what, or when, or where, or why, or who, or what game they we playing ... IF)

    I thought the 3 month scam meant they only pay every 3 months, but either way..
    keep houses from going inactive - It says nothing about stopping already inactive houses from falling.

    flappy6 already said their account was inactive/
    Yes, it sucks for flappy6 that the system was down at the time he went to activate his account so his keep wouldn't fall, but he understands that it's a risk and even blamed himself.
