    I almost bought a WRX a few years back, but then realized I would quickly end up driving like that...

    A real getaway driver only knows the route, he hasn't practiced it at the real-time getaway speeds. Real getaway drivers have to react to new obstacles. While the video is cool, the thread name is a misnomer as evidenced by the massive amount of practice tread-burns on his run.

    Give me 100 practice runs with sponsor-financed car maintenance and I could do some impressive stuff too.

    nice, but more fun when part of a car chase, I remember fondly such movies as 'Smokey and the Bandit', the original 'Italian Job' and the TV series 'The Dukes of Hazard'. The recent film re-make was a poor shadow of the fun of the old series. The old 'Daisy' was better too.
