New artifacts

    It seems they are useless... :(

    Armor has low intensity but high physical and poison resists...
    Weapon hasn't HML but has resistances...
    Why they add another pack of useless artifacts?

    Intelligence Bonus 8
    Mana Increase 15
    Mana Regeneration 2
    Defense Chance Increase 5%
    Lower Mana Cost 8%
    Physical Resist 9%
    Fire Resist 3%

    Mesanna posted on another thread that after hearing feedback on the proposed items, they are all going to be removed and replaced with brand new items instead of slightly altered doom artifacts. The stats for said items have not been seen yet though.

    The original draft was, by appearances, re-named and beefed up Doom Artifacts. Not necessarily a bad thing but clearly not something most Stratics posters, and probably most UO players at large, wanted.

    So they are, as stated, changing it.

    I liked them more than average I think but I still like the idea of entirely new things.

    I am looking forward to the new suit opportunities with the new arties. Not easy ├╝ber suits, but just things that haven't been possible until now.

    I think I will use pairs of the new glasses on shards where I don't have Mace and Shield Glasses. It will be a good add to the lesser populated shards. Yes, the shield is nice, but I think the FC2 will be counteracted by the FC-1 from the SC (but we'll see for sure soon). The Brightblade might be usable by a traditional wammy. The other two items aren't things I'd use.

    Really? I'm excited about the glasses with 30HLD and 25DI. I might need to re-work some resists, but no biggie.

    They're a good alternative to Mace and Shield for sure. But I was only speaking for myself I guess and I would rather use M&S all day over those ones.

    just 52 resists... And you can count 17 poison as 7-10 if you are going to use heartwood woodland armor. It will be difficult to match all max even with 6 imbue.

    For example, this distribution would be much better:
    Poison Resist: 17% 6%
    Physical Resist: 18 %
    Cold Resist: 7 %
    Energy Resist: 6 % 17%
    Fire resist 4 %

    I think both the bow and the sword are usable. The glasses are a bit under the mace and shields but should make it a bit easier to field a suit for less which is good.

    That's a fair point - I generally prefer human and don't have that issue with the poison resist. Still, 25DI on the helm is not something i'd had as an option before.

    It was there on the Ornate Crown of the Harrower, but no one used it because the resists were low. I am very excited about the new Prismatic Lens. I just want to know how I can earn a permanent (non-ephemeral pair). Does that only drop from Cora or can the Void Pool spawn drop them as well right into your pack?

    That's too bad. People will skip the Void Pool and start farming her just like people farmed Navrey right after the Tangle was added.

    I'm drooling over it. How could any mage with Wrestling(or w/o actually) not be....MR5..yes please! FCR3(opens a jewelry slot), Hit Spell 40%...im actually crazy about these gloves right now.

    Really pisses me off actually that it appears only the scripters will be getting them.

    Yes, they need to adjust the distribution plan for these items. The current plan is not fair to the casual player. I am very interested in those arms for my parry mage!

    Yeah, my Nox Mage, Necro/Mage, and Weaver/Mage could make real good use out of that. Only problems i can see, is that the delay between the Fireball hitting will make you unable to move/cast for a second, and if you use Para Punch in mid fight to line up a Exp+FS coup de grace combo, the Hit Fireball might break it.
    Nox Mage has 120 Magery/120 Eval/GM Med/GM Wrest (120 w/ Jewelry), GM Resist (120 w/ Jewelry+Scrapper's), GM Inscrip, 80.0 Poisoning.
    Necro/Mage has GM Magery (115 w/ Tome)/120 Eval/GM Med/GM Necro (120 w/ Jewelry+Talisman)/GM SS (120 with Jewelry+Talisman)/GM Wrest/GM Resist.
    Weaver/Mage has GM Magery (120 w/ Tome+Talisman)/120 Eval/GM Med/GM SW/GM Wrest (120 w/ Jewelry)/GM Resist/GM Inscrip.
