It's true but it is unfair to others that didnt have a chance to get the dread so two fixes...

Agree. I don't mind all these new pets. But there is a problem when it comes to pvp. All that needs to be done is capping their damage. Cap it at 35. Just like an armor ignore. A dragon could still be viable in pvp, bite for 35, followed by a fireball. But as it is now, a fireball can still do 50 damage, and a bite can still do 50 damage while bleeding you.
Same goes with the dread mares... All that needs done is a hard cap on damage... End of story.
Personally, I say delete all Dreads on Siege Perilous and do not add the new swampies.
This is coming from someone that is using the best Dread on Siege (thanks Kage!) and has a decent secondary.
In fact, I say make targeting players with any pets (this goes for summons as well) non-existent.
I like both suggestions of either deleting dreads or capping their damage in pvp. Either would be an improvement...
Only problem that I have there is that tamers should still be able to defend themselves. I think the above solutions are better without crippling the defense of a tamer. (or mage summoner for that matter)
I've seen the following work splendidly somewhere else...
1. Cap each damage number from a pet @ 35 (same as AI) versus players
2. A short delay between clicking your "all kill" and the pet actually doing so - PvM and PvP.
Makes pets usable yet not overpowering in PvP without affecting PvM uses. I mean, does anyone disagree with capping the damage at 35 per number? If not we should go to UHall while we have the dev attention. These guys get paid to code, right?
I GD should hit harder then anything else in the game and 50 is not that big of a number!
Also before you go off half cocked about me, I do not pvp with a tamer!
To me this cry for a cap is bull...right now a Myst/Mage has a dump that does more damage then a GD, please...
When you cast you SW buffs the first 80 points do nada, also GH heals 50+ and be casted faster then the firebreath of a GD.
This hits a sore spot for me about the direction UO has gone in, so predictable.
I want to go back to the days when evertyone did not have the game figured out down to the last Hit Point. There must be some randomsness involved in PVP.
I want to go back to the days when you had to worrie about what was comming, now its like, oh well I have 50 hps im fine.
Half the shard is running around with 130+ hps and we have chopped the damage down to 35 for everything (for dexxies) Mages got their new toy with Myst, even thoug I dont play a mage a liked the fact that it changed up the rules and people where like wow thats alot of damage!
Now give dexxers a 10% chance to hit for 50 points, or make a critical do more the 35. And I dont mean with a wooden stick. If you use a two handed weapon you should be able to do more damage then with a cleaver! Lets bring back the big hitters, I woudl swing a hally if I knew I had a small chance to get an 65 point slap!

Oh yes, please leave GD alone, they are the only wild card left in UO PVP.

Pretty much Mook is sad that a mage template is useful again, and that he cant derstroy you with his 4s bandaid , balanced comp bow with moving shot spam.
Hear is how it works... If they don't have the advantage they cry and quit pvping.
As I continue to say it....its hard to take serious from anyone recommending changes due to greed. Its just natural that players will always want changes to better their style of template. There is only....and only couple players on Siege who is unbias and always thinks whats best for Siege and not them.

For the record the only people I can't destroy are you and sakie, the rest die or run...and im ok with that.
Really Kage, please read the thread...it is asking for a nerf on a mount that is not even live yet, so who is crying?
I am saying to live the GD alone, as I like the randomness it gives to the game and yes I would like to see more of that.
As far as me being sad if I remember correctly the last time we had on even numbers for a night of fighting, two weeks ago...
Kage you died 4 times in less then 2 hours...didnt even buy your dexxer gear back the last time.

Let Bo clear this up for ya mook, it seems your memory is fail'n just like your pvp. Saken wasnt there it was asty, Kage and Asty died. You also had sprago which was tamer and someone else. Please lets not forget that Bo killed you, mono, and tairon. Than you cried about Bo being a stealther again, not really sure who you are runnin over it certainly isnt Bo. Bo hasnt died since Bo put stealth back on.
