New suits, fitting HCI and DCI

    I'm thinking of building new suits for my archer (120 archery, 110 anatomy, resist, 100 healing, necro, tactics, 80 chiv) and sampire (120 bushido, parry, swords, 100 anatomy, tactics, 99 necro, 61 chiv).

    But since reforging and the armour updates in Pub. 81 I'm lost.

    Pre Pub. 81 I was thinking of imbuing woodland armour with 40 lmc, 40 stam increase, 40 mana increase, 15 hp increase and all 70's resists - using M&S glasses, then enhancing with heartwood for HCI.

    Since Pub. 81 with the stamina loss reduction and inherent LMC update I was looking at imbuing the same mods on studded for the archer and on metal armour for the sampire. Again, using the M&S glasses.

    I'm not sure how I can reach the 45 HCI / DCI cap's though.

    For the sampire
    30 HCI & DCI from ring and bracelet
    5 DCI Conjerer's Garb
    5 DCI Corgul's sash
    10 HCI Conjurer's Trinket

    Gives only 40 in each, and if I'm fighting reponds I need to drop the trinket, dropping HCI to 30.

    For the archer
    30 HCI from ring and bracelet
    10 HCI Conjurer's Trinket
    5 HCI from Despicable Quiver

    Reaches the 45 cap, but again, if I'm fighting reponds I need to drop the trinket, dropping HCI to 35.

    Is it possible to reforge HCI and DCI onto armour and still get the above mods, or is that too much?
    What is everyone else doing with new suits, not bothered about reaching the HCI & DCI caps? Dropping other mods to fit them in? Or is there something else I have missed?

    In your sampire example I made up the missing DCI by reforging one piece of armor with 5 DCI. I made up the missing 5 HCI with Despicable Quiver (yes +5 archery wasted but I got 5 dex, 10 resist points and 5 hci along with the RPD). If I am fighting a repond that is out damaging my leeching because of the trinket I just switch to a Primer of Arms Damage Removal and say whatever to the 10 missing HCI. I usually mix in lightening strike with my AI's anyway.

    My archer suit isn't that close to your suit as he is pvp and has HLD on his weapon but: HCI is from a 30 HCI Orc Helm, 10 HCI Trinket and 5 HCI quiver. My DCI is from Sash, garb, fey leggings and the ring.

    It's easy for an archer (with reforging and post-imbue enchanting).

    3 items: 5 HCI, 8 LMC, 8 MI, 8 SI, 5 HPI (52 total res)
    2 items: 5 HCI, 8 LMC, 8 MI, 8 SI, 15 res (66-67 total res)
    65 + 52*3 + 66*2 + 10 = 363
    Since we have reserve 8-10 points it may be done even without post imbue enchanting (if you haven't gold for 5 tool charges): reforge, enchant without tool, repete if lost the item. (I did such way with plate. I not sure about leather because you can't up Tailoring to 180).

    If you want to get DI on talisman then Mana Phasing Orb (15 DI, 5 DCI), Crimson (10 HPI), Despicable Quiver (5 HCI), Corgul's sash (5 DCI), Conjerer's Garb (5 DCI).
    This gives you 15 DCI, 30 HCI, 15 DI without jewels.

    Ring: 5 SSI, 15 HCI, 15 DCI, 25 DI
    Bracelet: 15 DCI, 25 DI
    Bow: 35 DI

    For sampire you can, for example, reforge with 5 HCI 2 pieces only and add 15 HCI to your bracelet.

    Also you can use 2H weapon (plenty of room to imbue 50 DI) and Slither.
    In this case you need 4 items with 5 HCI + 15 res and 1 item with 5 HCI + 5 HPI.
    You will get 20 DCI + 30 HCI + 0 DI without jewels.

    I crafted a suit for my dexer:
    75-65-75-75-75 res, 18 damage eater,
    40 HCI, 25 DCI (with DF),
    150 HP, 191 Stam (with potions)
    82 mana (human char, need val scroll for 87)
    +60 skills on jewels
    Super Slayer + HLA on 1H weapon (leafblade)
    (should be 45 HCI, 20 DCI, 75 res all when I get a Despicable Quiver)

    But I'm not able to get refinment ingradients on Europa so really I have 70-65-70-70-70 res right now (67 fire res with boots).

    I tried some mini-champs in Abyss and they are very easy.
    I tried paragon balrons and Greater Dragons as well. Now I'm going to try peerless.

    Reforging dci on armor is easy. Just use a shadow runic hammer with powerful reforging and the name towering. With studded leather or leather use spined kit.

    Ive just crafted a new plate suit for my paladin with 5 dci on 3 pieces and a total of 70 on all resists. Burned just about 150 charges

    I forgot to mention my archer uses vamp form, so needs to be 95 fire to stay at 70.

    That means 52 total resists because of 16 from studded, 20 from exceptional + 100 arms lore and 16 from enhancing with barbed?

    So that means it isn't possible to do what I was trying in the OP because you need 375 total resists - 70*5 + 25 for fire loss :(

    Still not sure what to do, drop some mana and reforge HCI & DCI, or leave em below cap.

    Thats not the suit in http://stratics.com/community/threa...ire-template-and-armor-the-sampiredin.298923/ is it? I only noticed 2 pieces with 5 DCI reforged.

    No its another suit i crafted for a new template. I dont need vampiric embrace there but come along with df and 100% hll weapons. Anyway the other mods on the 4 parts are the following
    - hpi5 lmc8 si8 mi8 dci5
    - hpi5 lmc8 si8 mi8 resist +9
    - hpi5 lmc8 si8 dci5 resist +15
    - lmc8 si8 mi8 dci5 resist+15

    All together with m&s glasses and tinker legs

    Then you just need to imbue more res mods.

    1 items: 5 HCI, 8 LMC, 8 MI, 8 SI, 5 HPI (52 total res)
    2 items: 5 HCI, 8 LMC, 8 MI, 8 SI, 15 res (66-67 total res)
    2 items: 8 LMC, 8 MI, 8 SI, 5 HPI, 15 res (66-67 total res)
    65 + 52*1 + 66*4 + 10 = 391

    So you can get 15 HCI, 15 HPI from the suit. And if you spend more time for crufting you even can get 20 HCI, 15 HPI (only 3 res mod).

    15 HCI from armor
    15 DI, 15 DCI, 5 HCI from "support slots"
    30 DCI, 25 HCI, 50 DI from jewels
    35 DI from weapon

    D'oh! I didn't notice you put HCI on all 5 pieces in your first post.

    So it could be done for the archer, as I only need 10 more HCI to stay at cap if I need to remove the trinket. That leaves more imbue slots for resists, 5?

    How do you lot make suits so easily?? I have a headache from all the numbers rolling in my head :stretcher:

    I've thought about those, and the earrings of protection. If I have to use them I will, but I'd prefer not to .. if it is possible :)

    I plan my suits with exel charts and knucklehead. Its a bit of maths but not that difficult if you know what you
    want

    Why not using the boots? there is no really great item for this slot except maybe soles of providence. But those are only suitable for a luck suit anyway. Earring slot i would only equip with nocturne earrings though

    If it's an elf you don't need nocturne earrings and can go +2 resist earrings and +2 resist boots if necessary. For human with JOAT you can make nightsight potions on the fly. For occasions where you don't have silk you can burn an arcane clothing charge to cast night sight.

    I don't have any spreadsheets installed, maybe I should, been doing it in Notepad.

    I was thinking of using the int boots, and both chars are elf so shouldn't need the nocturne earrings.

    I think I've finally figured the archer suit out!

    Been crafting lots of studded parts and got these:
    Gorget - 8/4/10/7/7 - +15 fire and +2 poison
    - 8/19/10/9/7 - 19 fire (100 weight), 9 poison (40 weight), 8 LMC (110 weight), 8 MI (110 weight), 8 SI (110 weight) = 470

    Gloves - 2/8/8/10/8
    - 8 LMC (110 weight), 8 MI (110 weight), 8 SI (110 weight), 5 HPI (110 weight), 5 HCI (43 weight) =483

    Arms - 7/5/8/10/6 - +14 fire and +7 energy
    - 7/19/8/10/13 - 19 fire (100 weight), 13 energy (60 weight), 8 LMC (110 weight), 8 MI (110 weight), 8 SI (110 weight) = 490

    Legs - 7/5/8/8/8
    - 8 LMC (110 weight), 8 MI (110 weight), 8 SI (110 weight), 5 HPI (110 weight), 5 HCI (43 weight) =483

    Tunic- 6/14/4/8/4 - +7 cold
    - 6/14/11/8/4 - 11 cold (53 weight), 8 LMC (110 weight), 8 MI (110 weight), 8 SI (110 weight), 5 HPI (110 weight) = 493

    Enhancing with barbed and using with M&S glasses and +10 fire resist Despicable quiver would give

    Now I just need to get the runics, pof and imbuing ingreds .. and hope reforging works and I don't need to make more armour!

    Yeh, 5 resist mods gets it to all 70's resists in vamp form. Two lots of 5 HCI on the studded, then 5 from quiver and 30 from ring and bracelet.

    Thats if my maths is right.

    you can get 15 HCI from armor + 5 from the quiver

    p.s. you need 2 fire + 1 cold + 1 poison imbues

    Well, you can use 5 res mods.

    Other options:
    1. use 4 res mods
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 15 res, 5 HCI
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 15 res, 5 HCI
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 5 HPI, 9 res
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 5 HPI, 9 res
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 5 HPI, 5 HCI
    In this case you need to craft items with 0-1 exceptional points in fire/cold/poison and try to select a set that gives you resists you need. There must be 2 items with 0-1 fire, 1 item with 0-1 cold, 1 item with 0-1 poison and 1 item with average resists in the set.

    2. since you are going to use a Mana Phasing Orb you can imbue just 34 LMC
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 15 res, 5 HCI
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 15 res, 5 HCI
    8 MI, 8 SI, 5 LMC, 5 HPI, 15 res
    8 MI, 8 SI, 5 LMC, 5 HPI, 15 res
    8 MI, 8 SI, 8 LMC, 5 HPI, 5 HCI

    So the suit above is ok, the maths work - I haven't gone over the imbuing weight and the mods add up? You meant I could rework it to only use 4 resist imbues instead of 5 and fit in an extra 5 HCI?

    If the maths are right, then I'm happy with that, it should reach the caps - after enhancing with barbed *crosses fingers and prays the maths are right*

    That will do for the archer, I don't PvP.

    But for the sampire I need to make some metal armour using only 4 imbues for resists to fit 10 HCI and 5 DCI to reach the caps. :coco:
