Ok so I am not so much as new tamer as I haven't built one since the days of power hour. I have hit some rough patches along the way this time but I know I just need to keep at it.

Anyway, I am approaching 90 taming now and I have animal lore locked at 100. I remember reading somewhere that you don't want it over gm while still training taming because it makes taming gains even harder to get. Is this still the case? Now that I am hitting 90 taming, a dragon is coming into reach and I am trying to weigh out how much longer I can hold out. If the difference is minor I will probably unlock it, grab some jewels and see who would like to have a nice new home :)

    Thanks for your help!!

If you only want to unlock Lore to throw some jewels on so that you can get yourself a dragon go for it. Just lock it back when you go to get your taming gains. I haven't noticed any issues with gaining taming with 115 animallore...i'm at 106 taming right now.

I'm not sure how the whole locking your lore before GM thing works =/
