EM Seppo and Pallando held a Meet and Greet event today that was a smash success; everyone turned out to see what the two event moderators would reveal about past, current and future events. While we waited for things to get started, James from the Mage Tower entertained us, as soon as the EM’s appeared people started cheering “bandana”, in honor of EM Seppo’s signature headgear. EM Pallando's sandals failed to generate much excitement! EM Seppo got right down to business announcing that no sashes would be handed out; there were a few groans from the crowd. The EM’s revealed that they are still reviewing reports from the Something Reeks in the Sewer Event” and are still working on determining a winning report. Participating in the Thiefmaster’s events will earn notoriety points with the thieves who will be critical in unlocking future events and special things. EM Seppo reflected on the event to rescue the Royal Guard William from the sewer, he said that he had a fun time planning it and got a laugh out of the huge amount of corpses. Not only did the event have a boss warbozz that was a “paragon, general, darkfather with 20,000 strength” but the event also lead us through a nasty poison gauntlet followed by fighting poison elementals and orcish brutes and the like through a narrow maze! Good news, William the Guard has recovered from his ordeal and will soon begin his patrols once again at the West Britain Bank. EM Pallando also revealed that “boss” monsters in events will respond to key words from players. So the next time you’re at an event, try using key words and interacting with the boss you are fighting! You may get a surprise. Registration for the Trial of Independent Kingdoms, which is a pure role playing event” has been extended until tomorrow, and EM Pallando said that only “historical” claims will be allowed. EM Seppo said that he was surprised that Gideon’s fleet was successful and he thought that Gideon would be defeated and flayed by Casca for his failure. Since the Red Team won the encounter, Gideon was rewarded. Two key points that EM Seppo wanted everyone to know are: 1. He will not be holding our hands in future events, more exploration and hard work will be required in future events. 2. He would like to see more people at events, even though Baja has one of the best event participation rates, better than much larger shards, he would like for us all to get the word out how ever we can so more people will enjoy them.
