Recent happenings at Lord British's castle have brought the Apprentice of Isarac Firebane, Nicholai, into the public conscious! Nicholai recently went missing and is now believed to be involved with the group that has stolen the relic known as the Fire Ruby. For those unaware, The Fire Ruby was an item recovered by Queen Dawn at the time of the defeat of the Shadow Lords! Those who followed the clues were lead to Hanse's Hostel, Malas, awaiting the blind mage. And so the mage arrived, after some conversation his apprentice, or ex-apprentice, made a grandiose entrance. After a short jog North, they engaged in battle! A classic mage duel, Isarac opened by summoning an Ethereal Warrior! But Nicholai's new tutor had given him the skill to summon the feared Lord of the Abyss! The poor warrior was grabbed from about his head and tossed into the forest behind the crowd, with a sickening crack and a deafening roar the first bout was surely Nicholai's victory. The gathering fell onto the horrible beast, as soon as it was dead Nicholai was quick to call interference. Before Isarac had much time to reason with the boy, words of power poured from his mouth. KAL VAAS FLAM!! Before the old mage had a chance to recover himself Nicholai blasted him with spells. "POR ORT GRAV!" Energy cracked off the aged mage's robe, but Nicholai had saved his most devious new trick for last."KAL VAS REL POR!" Nicholai pulled the mage to him, screaming GET OVER HERE! After delivering a swift slap to the man's jaw he took hold of the Amulet of Planes and in his most quizzical of maneuvers, separated into five separate human mans and blitzed the bewildered crowd! After a considerable amount of battle, all the figures had been killed and confirmed to have the looks of Cultists about them. Some lucky Britannians pulled purple "Staves of Greater Elemental Conjuring" from the robes corpses. Issarac thanked us for his help and limped off to his room in Hanse's, leaving his pungent boots by the door. He mentioned that he would make for Castle British on the morrow to seek help from the Royal Britannian Guard.
