NEXT EXPANSION SKILL IDEA?!

    As much as I love sailing around on a boat fishing for well.. fish, how about bringing back another skill to be more interesting. Poisoning! I think it would be fun to play some type of necro dper, but right now its kinda void with the insta chugging everyone does. Sure they MAY fail one or two pots sometimes, but thats it.

    Couldn't we take a page out of a game like Diablos necromancer where he can trap corpses to explode and shoot poison in each direction? Say you kill someone on the bridge of despise, trap the corpse with the dp spell and maybe have it activated by someone opening it or by the caster triggering it. Maybe having some type of bonus from having necro would be good too and it would give both skills a little boost against the boring mystic templates.

    I had more examples but its late and I'm a little forgetful, but I'm sure people could take that idea and run with it. I don't think it would be too tough to implement and it would add a whole new aspect to field and spawn fighting.

    yes, and they could bring back the classic dungeons while re-designing virtues.

    About skills though...

    Please, no more making skills go to 120 that don't need to. I mean seriously, with fishing you pretty much have to get to legendary or you're worthless. It was the same way with EVERY other skill that went to 120.

    120 Forensics? 120 Camping? 120 Detect Hidden? WHY? GM these is currently meaningless. Why not make the CURRENT skills worthwhile without tacking on an additional 20 points, thus making the people who've invested their time to GM things feel good.

    Same goes for the rest of the GMable skills. Templates are cramped enough without having to do the soul stone shuffle...

    The 120 skills is a must for designers so people buy the content and then have a new goal to reach and stay subscribed until reached.

    But yes there are some unused skills they could improve in the meantime.

    With all this +20 to fishing and all I suguest perhaps adding another 100 skill to the list of add ons. As it is to get 120 in all the skill areas now for a skill set to make it work many are counting on jewelry, trinkets, and clothes to fill the bill for missing points.

    Oh I know many will yell it would mess up pvp but honestly as things are growing we need to get the 100points.
    Originaly they were thinking 1000 skill points when UO was in testing. It would make it alot easer for the extra 100.

    As for Idea for the next small upgrade......

    T hunting was a good move.
    Fishing is going to be fun as far as I can tell from the reported gossip...
    How about a general skills upgrade?
    I mean its getting old for Tailoring ..same old rewards..same for Smithing..
    Tinkers get squat and cant sell the junk they make at higher lvls and it cant be smelted or reverted.
    Carpenters are moot unless you need kegs or a chest.
    There is alot they can do for the later two skills
    Craft Fairs that visit town.. one town at a time ... rotating sites.

    They can revamp the bod system instead of 10 15 20 items make them 25 50 100... better skill gaining better gifts for completing there is alot of stuff in pandora's box to choose from. The list is endless of things people want.. how about making hte neon tub as a gift and make it legit, single color so they have to keep trying for the full set of colors...
    Ideas are like water ... you only need to thirst for change to get them.

    Not all skills need to be 120 to be effective.. what about Chiv and Necro?

    Smith/Tailoring doesn't really need a revamp.

    Tinkering could use some runics.

    Carpentry worthless? The best armor in the game is made from wood.

    I've lead a couple skittering hopper parades through Luna that way.

    But usually ends up with someone coming up with the wither spell.

    Once ended with all the skittering hoppers stopping in the mint and they started spamming what they were selling and websites and such...

    Who knew the skittering hopper had such a robust economy!
