    Background:


    The Drow left the shard...

    Months later a Stranger found a ruined tower. Inside its hollow husk there were strange rooms, war rooms, alchemical and arcane rooms... some rooms depicting a dark religion.

    The Stranger also found a narrow secret passage, going deep into the bowels of Malas... and that was where they were... row after row after row of silky pulsating cocoons... surrounded by arcane runes and necrotic totems, all in utter silent darkness... except for a dim glowing purple gem on the ceiling of the natural cave... high above the floor.

    Suddendly there was casting... the Strangers body froze for a brief second and several shadows moved around him all chanting the same elemental song and darkness came...

    The Stranger woke up and knew he was immobilized... strapped to a torture rack... around him silent shadows moved nimbly and then he saw the deep blue icy eyes peering deeply into his soul...

    -"vel'uss ph'dos?"

    The questioning took an eternity but strangely there was no torture... they even gave him some grapes, cooked bird and fresh water... He was moved to another room, higher and warmer. It was filled with crimsom pillows and on its corners, huge spider spun their webs waiting for the next doom bat to fall in their delicate trap... and the questioning proceeded...


    The Stranger was losing his patience but somehow, the gentleness of their words, the carefull feeding and the exchanged arguments between many of them... he counted at least six... but it was hard to tell... they all looked alike. Slowly a plan was forming on his mind... a web of his own... and he smiled when it all came together...

    Time went by... the questions kept coming. The Stranger knew enough of elvish to understand and reply. Some of the drow understood his common but they always replied in the underdark speech.

    Then he spoke of Eilistraee and there was chaos. The questions erupted, the icy eyes of his captors almost gleamed with hope... and he understood. They were looking for a Path, a Dogma... they were nothing but Lost Children left behind by their Creators...

    He recited some of the verses of the Dark Maiden... and again, there was first silence... and then an ocean of questions... he remembered marking a rune to one of Her temples... so he made the offer. He would gate to that temple, one of the drow could jump in the blue portal... if anything would happen to the scout... it was fair that they would take his life.


    The gate was opened... and the lives of all those shadows changed forever... nind muth kestal.

    Where food cannot be purchased or received, it must be gathered or hunted for. Feed yourself by your own gardening and hunting skills as much as possible. Set aside food and give it as often as possible to strangers in need, particularly outcasts and those of other races. In times of plenty, store food for lean times ahead.
    < On Strangers >
    Strangers are your friends. Any hungry travelers met with, who offer no threats, are to be fed—carry food at all times for this purpose. The homeless must be given shelter from storms, under your own roof if need be. In harsh winters, patrol the lands about to find and take in the lost, the hurt, and those caught in the teeth of cold. Try to convert at least one stranger per moon to the worship of Eilistraee.
    < On Conflict >
    Defend and aid all folk, promoting harmony between the races. When fighting evil burn the bodies of the evil creatures slain as an offering to the goddess—unless such creatures are edible and non-sentient, and there are hungry folk near. When faithful and allies fall in battle, any priestess present must, if possible, provide burial, a funeral song, and comfort to the bereaved. Repay rudeness with kindness. Repay violence with swift violence, so that the fewest may be hurt and danger fast removed from the land.
    < On Drow >
    Aid all drow who are in distress. If the drow are in combat the fighting is to be stopped with as little bloodshed as possible. So long as the drow met with are not working evil on others, they are to be aided and given the message of Eilistraee: “A rightful place awaits you in the Realm Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow.”

    2. No cheating (unattended macroing included)
    3. Respect for all players (allied and non)
    4. No killing alliance members (only exception is sparring or insurance checks, but someone BETTER know about it first)
    5. If a help call goes out and you are able, please respond
    6. We help new players (armor, weapons, skill advice, templates, etc)
    7. If there is a security issue (stealing, scripting, snooping, Pk'ing, etc), expect action or an explanation from an emmy or GM, either one.
    8. No talking in game window unless it is in Elvish...
