Ok i have been reading these forums a few days now. Lots of great info, but im in need of some refinement.

First thing I just started a new char on Siege Perilous with some friends. So with that in mind take out all those nice arties. No glasses, nothing that losing would set me back more then a quick run home to re-equip and get back to killing stuff.

With that in mind using PoF is not high on the list. So every item i will be using needs to be player made even to the point ill be farming most of the mats as i go along.

So what im asking is this workable whats the highest PvM encounter i could expect to go after? Or is that reaching to far for a templet that relays on high end suits to get the most out of them?

Thanks for your time and any help you can give.

The only real problem on siege is fitting enough hci or hld. No glasses and imbuing mats for 15hci on jewelry take a while to farm, mana phasing orbs are also hard to come by.
You can work around that by using faster weapons that dont need ssi on them so you can put some hld, hci, hla, or dci on them.
Usually blessing something else then your weapon is pointless, because a really good weapon for what you fight will be your biggest asset.
To compensate for the lower damage output from these fast weapons you adjust template a bit for increased healing, either by adding healing/anatomy or spiritspeak to be able to use curse weapon. Survival is important on siege since spawn likes to loot your equipment as well. Play a bit more careful and do not die is a lesson that needs to be learned. Sacrifice for self rezzes with all eqiupment on.

On siege i try to get away with equipment as cheap as possible for the task at hand, sometimes even only cursed stuff from shame. The good suits have 6 imbued armor pieces with 4hp,7stam and 7 mana. 20-40 lmc as well. Jewelry with 13-14 hci and dci, 7str,7dex, 22 di.

To answer your question in short, on siege you can solo probably 99% of the stuff that people do on prodo, you will just need some soulstones to adjust template to what works best. And a bit of thinking before you go after the big stuff.

But ask yourself if you really want to use a sampire there. Since they changed healing so that your bandages cure poison after 2 seconds, a lot of big stuff is doable with 120 healing/anat. Especially on a samurai there are quiet a few ways to reduce incoming damage and get additional hitpoints back.

Well i was gearing up to play a sampire after putting if off for ages on Baja. Its one of the few templets i have yet to play as i mostly played casters/bards. So its ether this or an archery type. I have a few soul stones, as one of the few things i like to do if I only have say 45 min is a quick tmap, so i have carto/lockpicking/mining along with mystic/focus/magic on stones right now.

Once I get some time, I have 3 suits to finish then I can make something like this.. but, off the top of my head...

you don't have to have the end all be all suit to do most of the spawns/champs. I don't know what you are limited to on Seige, but you can make a suit of all leather/plate that is pretty solid. And just limit yourself to using mods that only require essence and gems without the top end materials.

Looking back at the armour my sampire used to wear for soloing Peerless before SA I'd say anything you can get now would be an improvement :)

Can you post some more advice on how to craft a decent suit for a beginner sampire? as in just hit 50's in Bushido, Swords, Parry etc? at this stage I'll carry reagents so LRC doesn't matter...

Oh and my sampire isn't on Siege but I still want a crafted suit not gathered arti's..

Well my sampire is an Elf so i was think all woodland items. I was hoping to get enough of a starter suit to farm shame/wrong for stuff to unravel along with hitting the abyss for other items i can farm off the rats.

All in all i would be happy if i could solo max madusa, Im not looking for a super sampire set up. Killing UEV or what ever those dang things are would rock. Just stuff along those lines. I dont see my self doing peerless or Lich in Doom or anything like that.

imo, LRC is wasted on a sampire.

I guess we train differently, I would skill up one or two skills at a time to get them to their or close to where I wanted them as a final total. But, as far as a suit goes...

It would really help things if you had at least a crimson cincture. But, this advice will be based off the idea that you don't.

If you want to go woodland in a 'basic' suit, there is one of 3 ways I would go. The first is make it out of Bloodwood. The 2 HPR is nice, especially when it's across 6 pieces. Plus, the 8 in fire helps. The second is heartwood. Craft pieces until you get +10 DI or +5 HCI with the resist you are looking for. Finally, craft it out of plain wood.

Depending on how much work you are willing to put into the basic pieces, it might be worth making 5-6 pieces for each slot out of basic wood and then enhancing them with like Bloodwood, since you won't be losing the expensive ingredients.

I'll try to find sometime to hop on test center tomorrow and make a quick suit and post it here.

Killing Medusa is more about having the lenses. That is the most important part to me.

Can she be done with the low end lenses? the ones made from scales other then from her? Is the rest of that workable like the EVs and what not in the new reworked shame/wrong?

Make 5 items from frostwood. It has just 1 fire res so it's very good to imbue fire. If you want to spend less frostwood but more bark fragments you can craft it from normal wood then enchant with frostwood. But chances are about 20-30%. You need to carft items with low cold/fire and high poison/energy.

Make helm from metal. Verity is the best choice. Craft it from iron ingots then enchance. With an ASH chances are close to 100%. Imbue this item with energy. I suggest you to reforge 5% HCI or DCI on it before enchanting becouse shadow runics are so easy to get. You need just few verity ingots to make it so needn't worry about price.

If you are going to you use LS then you don't need much mana/lmc.
In any case you can imbue 8 MI/8 SI/5 HPI/7 LMC/15 res fire on each woodland peace and 8 MI/8 SI/7 LMC/15 res energy.
(boura pelts are easy to get. lum fungi are also should be cheap)

Sweet, i have yet to start harvesting frost wood as it was not on my list. Ill have to look into getting some of that, i have been mining and lumbering to save on the cost of raw mats to get me off the ground thought at this rate ill end up buying soul stones and doing it my self lol. Thanks for the info :)

I think you missed the part that the op wants to play a sampire on siege. There is no insurance there so building such a suit is a bad idea.

She can be, but you need help/luck then- because when you are stoned, when she hits you, it doesn't break it. And use momentum strike to kill of the statue.

That is up to you... I am not sure I'd go with frostwood armor on seige- I mostly mentioned the colored woods for Ludes.

The idea I have on seige is that you want armor that is good, but easily replaced.

Before I really start messing with it- just how much work are you wanting to do and how often do you expect to need to replace a piece.

Also, what weapon do you want to use. I'd recommend going either fencing (kama / leafblade) or swords (radient scimitar / katana). The reason for the katana on swords is that if you aren't going to be imbuing a top end suit, you are going to need an AI weapon that you can swing at max swing speed. And how do you feel about using potions?

Well seeing as there is not a whole lot of action on SP right now, and the few PKs out there will sell me my suit back if they loot it at all inless i do something to tick one off. I have no problem farm a few hours each day on the days i work so i can spend my weekends out killing stuff. I have a 120 swords and 115 fence and 120 mace scroll I can pick from. 115 bushido, 115 tacts, 120 parry, 120 anat. I also have no trouble taking up trade skills and buying soul stones to make my own stuff.

As for potions i dont mind using them, heck if i cant find someone to help me make lenses ill have to make one of my own so i might as well use them.

I'm still a little confused.. sorry I'm old and I drink and smoke a lot, lol.
Break it down in baby steps and lets just use leather as an example until I get more rare wood.
So you take your GM tailor and make 7 or 8 full suits out of barbed.
Then you mix and match all the pieces until you get the best spread right?
And with just a plain sewing kit and barbed leather what are you aiming your resists at before enhancing or imbuing? It would be be like 50's wouldn't it?.

Would it be better to siege bless a weapon or get a pair of mace and shield glasses and use it on them?

Some ingredients to make good weapons take a while to farm, you will need to pof weapons and you may want 100% elemental damage weapons sometimes that take a while to craft. So its probably better to not use m&s glasses and learn to play without them.

Also if you die to spawn and get looted by monsters you will have at least a weapon and can try to get your stuff back.

That's a hard question to answer.

I'm also tempted to say weapon, except that you are going to have a LOT of weapons. If done right, you will have a whirlwind and an AI weapon for each type of spawn.

Well also if i take the time i could have several of the same type of weapon. Im working carpentry and BSing right now to be able to make my own stuff as there not much on venders in the way of dexxer suits. Add in Imbuing to be started next. With most likely alchemy after that. Ill be doing all my own stuff at that point from farming the mats to making the items.

to me, it seems that a real good sampire is pretty gear intensive. id bless a good ww wpn, use a cheap imbued suit that takes no ingreds (just gems/essence), no pof, and see what you can do.
or...make a sampire, crafter, etc on a shard with insurance.

    It's a very cheap suit.
    On normal shard you need:
    - one visit to a NPC blacksmith and some gold for bribes to get shadow runic
    - 30 min to mine iron and verity ingots (you need just 15-30 verity ingots)
    - 30 min to get 50 boura pelts
    - 30 min to get 20-25 relics in Shame

Amount of bark fragments needed depends on quality you want. Yes, if you want near to perfect 2/1/2/7/8 distribution you need a lot of them. But if something like 3/2/3/6/6 is enough for you, you needn't big amount of bark fragments/frostwood.

I believe on SP it will take more time and more risk, but it's a game. You are playing... and getting all those regs.

p.s. I suggest to bless the weapon. It's more important for comfortable farming.
