Why does the shard keep disappearing?
Because EA dont really care about us
I'm so sorry...
This is happening weekly....
fix it please?
This is very annoying
I am sure we would have legal grounds to demand a refund of our monthly subscription if EA do not fix this problem. The server is down for at least a full day a week.
EA - PLEASE resolve this issue immediately.
Depends if they class "not being able to provide a service" 1 server being down and still being able to access the others.
This is rediculous. EA pick your game up. Its been down for 4+ hrs.
Actually server down isnt correct. Its still there, just disappeared from the login screen. I am talking to people that are playing atm...
I know exactly why it's going down... and it should be obvious to them. Also that they cannot do anything about it unless they stop playing the political game.
Heck I have no idea how they got their attention, but one thing is for sure, they are getting attacked.
I don't know if it's relevant, but I remember a time on europa when the shard was happily going on without us while others were in game and playing, it was accessible from USA, but not Europe. EA had no idea there was a problem. Turned out there was a Sprintlink server in UK not allowing any traffic through. I had to re-tame my white wyrm which I'd been hunting with when I crashed. Luckily for me it was still in the same place. though taming it while surrounded by undead was interesting.
Its pretty obvious. It is some sort of DOS(Denial of Service) attack. Though, the individual(s) that are attacking are not that good(yet). Because it isnt bringing the server down, just causing it to lag enough that the login servers think its not there.
I dunno, thats my guess anyway
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr EA! The shard is gone again!!
FIX THIS SH*T!!
These are bot attacks, they might not be as bright as the stratics crew and don't know how to reroute an access.
Sadly however, if they were targetted, it is supposedly for a good reason that has to do with net neutrality.
I wouldn't want to be the someone who rerouted when the maybe genius behind this finds out they have not changed their policy and put a mirror in front of the bot.
Dosen't look even like a solution to me, even short term.
