Can someone get our server up and running and stable :please:?

Betting 2 to 1 it is an ISP issue where the servers are located :(.

We pay the same subscription as everyone else in the game. Still we so often get inconvenienced when we can't find Oceania to play on. Fixing Oceania has never been a priority? Why??

My techs spent the last 7 hours rebuilding a single server for the airfield I work at. Hopefully, the server stays up. What you must realize is that servers are not easy to work on. When they **** the bed, it can take days to repair. That's why good IT's get paid soo much.

As for the updates, im sure they are getting the same update I gave the Airfield manager: "the servers are down, we are working on it. I will call you when we bring them up"

It sucks you don't get to play UO, but I assure you that it sucks much more for the multiple technicians that are frantically working to repair what ever went wrong.

This may be so Evil but they could have respect for us and at least tell us there is trouble, it doesnt take all that much to tell us instead we all sit and play a guessing game as has been stated we pay good money to play the game and if there is a problem we should be told.

I am flat out like a lizzard drinking on this one already.... its happened so much I use to it!

I took down my fish tank and picked up all my plants and secured them till this blows over (i hope).

I swear the Dev need whats up and get it right this time. Im tired of the dodgy con and the missing server.

Agreed that dependant on the break the fix can be time consuming, but this outage is one of three in under 2 months:-
    *14th October
*27th Nov (2 short outages and one extensive)
    *1st Dec (17hrs so far).
There was also one earlier in the year that lasted over 2 days.
Oceania was only moved over to this server on 30th March 2011, so it's not likely to win any awards for realiability :D
A little communication to customers goes a long way but a Service outage analysis probably wouldn't go astray either?

good IT departments have a backup server that can be turned on while the primary is being worked on, 7 hours is a lot of downtime for any company, days offline would have been more than enough for a contract termination and everyone getting fired at any job site i've worked on, 24+ hours offline in a short period of time is way....way outside of most reasonable SLA's

Though on the upside it looks like this year Oceania should hit at least the 70% uptime mark...
