This is an updated wersion on my old ide of removing sumonings from magery and put it in to a new skill.

Demononologist. This is same as taming, but it is for demons only.
Your demonologist skill determens on what demons you can bind to you.
To heal your demon you need to give them the regent demonblood.

I'm still not sure I see the niche this fills (and dislike the idea of magery losing its "utility belt" feel) ... but if you did get this, should those of benevolent karma get a similar skill for ... um ... Ethereal Warriors?

With 120 skills being almost a requirement it seems, and skill caps being the same unless you have a veteran account, templates are already crammed for space.

I don't really like the idea of removing summonings from Magery. *shrugs*

Maybe it would be a neat idea if it was added as a new skill, but leave Magery as it is now.

That would be a really cool add on skill to compliment Necromancy.

  7. You have the worst idea's EVER.

    Stop with this, it's bad.

  8. so... demonology would be the skill to determine your chance to bind a daemon. What other skills would you see being required to control the daemon?

Tamers have to have lore and taming to control their tames. Daemonology should require two skills as well.

I'm not sure there's a good way to implement a skill like you're suggesting here. I just don't see the fit.

now... daemonology as a summoning skill could be balanceable.

well anyway... any skill like you're suggesting would require a substantial amount of consideration to game balance. I mean, if you can bind balrons, that could be a very powerful weapon to have at your disposal.

You are right it needs more skill to it. The ide is to make the same as taming, but its about demons instead of pets.

I would like to see spirit speak to it, but then we probably see combos whit necro who imbalance it in the end. Or just use animal lore because it works already on all creatures. It just sounds dull.
