Okay, so my character has GM Fishing. Here is his template:

    100 Fencing
    100 Anatomy
    100 Tactics
    95.3 Healing
    82.8 Magery
    74.0 Resist
    100 Fishing

Took up fishing at a time when it was fashionable to travel by boat, and fishing was a fun thing to do on trips. While a capable fighter, this character used to be called "Chicken of the Sea" as he spent most of the trips clinging onto the Tillerman for dear life and ready to press "Recall" at half a moment's notice as soon as a Water Elemental was sighted.:sad3:

I used to travel with others, and gave away SOS, etc. so I've never really fished for this treasure. Yesterday, my T-Hunter dug up a level 4 chest which contained a MIB that turned into an Ancient SOS (I didn't know you can get MIB on land). It was a lucky day for me as I also gained an Imbuing Alacrity Scroll from another chest.

Anyways, how do I take care of the Ancient SOS. What happens at sea with this thing? I see that the map has coordinates, so I'm assuming that it will be easy to find the location.

MiBs on the treasure chests came with the Publish 67, just two months ago. I have treasure hunting and fishing skills on the same character which is based on mysticism spells rising colossus to kill the spawn and cleansing winds to heal. I have to admit though a fisher/archer with a water elemental slaying bow always looks better than my hybrid template.

That particular ancient sos will yield a chest recovered from a shipwreck, without any spawn. Inside, you'll find a fabled fishing net, a so-called white fishing net which can be used to spawn leviathan. There is a slight chance for that particular monster to drop one of the two rare artifacts amongs minor artifcats: a sea horse statuette or a ghost ship anchor.

I advise you to keep the white fishing net since one of the new mobs of the new booster can only be spawned using those fabled nets. Also, on new booster, you can fish rare fish on various locations like dungeons which can be turned into very cool looking trophies or magical fish pies.

Here are some pages you should check before the new booster:

    The art of cooking
    Fishing In the High Seas

    Thanks, Nimuag.

It looks like I'll be holding onto that fishing net. I'll also be training up Archery.

    Thanks, also, for the links.
