After an extremely long inactivity I've decided to come back to UO, but all my templates are probably obsolete these days. Can anyone give me some advice on how I should tweak my warrior's template? Thanks.

Sounds like you haven't played in a long time. I'm assuming this is for PvM? If it's for PvP the answer may change.

To play a warrior-mage, you will need a lot more than 25 intelligence; I have no insight as to how much exactly, though. For that matter you will need more than 60 magery.

But you were probably doing that for healing and curing.

In which case Chivalry is considered of much more use these days; it also gives you certain damage bonus.

There are many varieties in warrior templates these days; don't be fooled by how this forum focuses mostly on one template called a "Sampire." That template is unfortunately by far the best to solo high-end content! But if that's not what you're after many other templates will do.

    Here's a basic Paladin/Knight warrior template.

    • Weapon Skill
    • Tactics
    • Anatomy
    • Healing
    • Chivalry
    • Meditation or Focus (both regen mana, Focus also regens stamina and doesn't require that meddable armor be worn, but the mana regen rate is inferior)
    • Parry OR Resist Spells.

And here is a basic Samurai template. (Samurai is associated with the Bushido skill, in essence giving you different "Spells" than the Chivalry/Paladin skill, and interacting with Parry.)

    • Weapon Skill
    • Tactics
    • Anatomy
    • Healing
    • Chivalry
    • Meditation or Focus
    • Parry.

    Many variations are possible.

    Many.

Explore and find one to suit how you wish to play.

    Welcome back.
