[BUG] Ore & Stone in hotbars

    Ore and Stone in hotbars display their hue correctly when the resources are present in your pack, or have been recently. But after a fresh login they all revert to plain stone and plain ore. This seems inconsistent with other mined resources such as gems and sand, which retain their hue.

    Ah, thought i was going mad :coco:

    The resources in hotbars do change to basic iron ore colour, but are still what they are supposed to be...although it doesn't say that in the description in the hotbar.
    Very annoying when you've just come back to the game and can't remember the ore colour order :cursing:

    this has been like this since kr came out and is a known issue but maybe we can bring attention back to it

    Ore and Stone are based on hueing a single graphic whereas gems and sand all use individual images which is probably why they revert back to the basic color if you do not have any in the hotbar.

    You misread the OP's post. Fink is talking about ore and stone resource counters that are already in the hotbar. Fink wants to know why these resource counters don't retain their color if there isn't any in your character's backpack.

    I think Dermott may have meant when there's none left in the hotbar (0 ore), rather than not displayed (empty slot).

    Fink is right, I am talking about when you have the items on the hotbar but have none in your pack.

    If you use Inside UO on the 2d client, you'll see that items that chane in HUE do not have individual graphics (ore, ingots, stone, leather, cloth of various types, bandages) whereas the two types of gems DO have individual graphics and are not just rehued versions of a base graphic.

    To clarify the quick post above, that is why when you have them in your hotbar but not in your pack why they probably revert to the default color (until you "refresh" them with the hued color).
