Anyone else get to see this? I think we just saw Fedor's weakness...fast people. Andrei was controlling this fight with no problem until he went for the flying knee. In fact, had he landed a few more punches he could have swollen Fedor's eyes and gained a massive advantage. Im not saying Fedor's punch was lucky because that guy is an MMA tactician. What I am saying is that it cant be argued who was winning the fight before the overhand right.
Oh well...hopefully Arlovski comes back down the road and knocks this overrated monster from his throne. Im not taking ANYTHING from Fedor, I love watching him fight because he's arguably the most powerful puncher, but aside from Arlovski he hasnt had much competition in a long time. Dont even try to say Tim Sylvia is competition. At least not for the upper class fighters.

Here is the dream scenario (which Im confident is going to happen)
Penn vs GSP--> GSP victor. And it's already been said that if GSP wins..his next opponent will be NONE OTHER THAN...... ANDERSON SILVA!!

Now if only Silva and Fedor would agree to move a weight class apiece, lol...that would be a fight. Will never happen though, Fedor has no motive or reason to do so. I could see Silva doing it though, lol. The guy is an animal.

Silva vs GSP is a dream match. It'll break ppv records.

    Fedor is the best unquestionably.

    Silva will beat GSP.

Fedor would beat Silva with a submission.

    Fedor beat King Leonidas.

Also I don't think you saw the same fight I saw. Fedor watches his opponents and takes a few shots to feel them out. Andrei had a good reach and got some good shots in but I don't think it would have even been close even if the KO didnt come so fast. Being the aggressor for 3 minutes in the first round doesn't constitute "controlling the fight".

I have seen Fedor get shaken badly in Pride by Fujita, and just get mad and win easily.

Fedor is a beast. He will beat Arlovski every time. Arlovski has no chin, and at some point against Fedor...you better have one.

I agree. GSP-Silva is the only fight right now!!

Matter of opinion on Fedor being the best ever. Silva will most likely beat GSP. However, who thought Serra would have beat GSP? Crazier things have happened. Did you not watch the post-fight interview where one of Fedor's corner men even said he was losing the fight until the overhand right? Fedor was even rocked a little bit by Andrei earlier in the fight.
And sure it does constitute controlling the fight. Up to that point he was "controlling" the fight. I already said Fedor is an MMA tactician. He just recently lost a sambo match...so its only a matter of time before someone puts him on his ass.
I cant wait till Silva claims three different weight division belts. Light Heavy, middle, and welterweight. The guy is unstoppable right now.

Yeah, I guess it is a matter of time....no one has yet in ten years or so.

If Silva and GSP fight there is no way Silva is going down to 170, so the only way he gets 3 belts is go up to heavy, but Lesner is WAY too big for him. Another fight I'd like to see would be Silva vs Bisping at 185 or Silva going back up to 205 and fight Rashad Evans.

Might want to check UFC.com. It was a couple week ago and Dana said that Silva said he'd drop down to fight GSP. He said he'd fight anyone. The guy is insane. And for the noter who said Fedor hasnt lost in 10 years...maybe in MMA but got his butt kicked in Sambo :p

Wow if Silva really can drop down to 170, I'd bet they make a catch weight like 177 or 178. They say he's big for a 185 pounder, he might just kill himself to make 170 and leave it all in the gym come fight night.

Sambo and MMA aren't evenin the same league though. Different point system and rules, kinda more of a Wrestling/Judo match than an all out war. Fedor was and is bound to loose a few in his career, but that doesn't take away the fact that he is the best. And don't ever count him out cause he takes a few hits early on, just watch the Kevin Randleman fight where he was getting slammed like a rag doll and turned it around quickly.

Silva is my favorite fighter to watch because he's explosive and extremely powerful. His style is almost flawless and he has a drive that is right now unmatched.

My favorite fighter of all time is Randy Couture, seconded by Bas Rutten. That Guy is funny :)

I agree with you on Sambo. I was just kinda throwin it out there to discount his "immortality" which many people seem to label him. I still think Anderson Silva is better pound for pound than Fedor. Silva is so much more rounded imo. I saw the Randleman fight, and it makes sense he threw Fedor around because the kid was hopped up on roids. As Fedor said after the fight, "Kevin is the strongest man I've ever met in my life" That was before he knew of the roids.
I also am full hearted with you on Randy being my favorite fighter of all time. Damn brock lesnar grabbing the cage when Randy was about to slam his big ass! lol.
