My wife used to work at the USDA in food safety.
Somedays she would come home and say "All we're eating is stuff we're going to grow in the backyard and I'm flooding it to make a rice field."
Oh the stories I could tell...
as stated there "Cooking does kill the microbe"
just make sure you dont personally touch the meat or where u place the meat and cook it well and your good. no need to worry.
Now, that makes me want to make some of my home-brewed chili!
i kill most of my meat :gun:, and beef we get fresh from the community, theres cows everywhere, now i want elk tacos! this is a bad thread like i already have the munchies.....ALL THE TIME
Interesting... Our dogs eat raw chicken necks and thighs, as well as liver. I won't touch the stuff if I can help it, but my parents handle it daily. Might have to get them to read this when they get home...
haha don't ya love the news
You know that fluid you find in chicken at the grocery store? The poultry industry has a slang term for that stuff: fecal soup. Not kidding....
Do a quick Google search on those two words. Careful, what you read may make you never buy chicken in the US again. Most of the world won't even import chicken from us.
Further, hop on Hulu.com, and check out a show called 'The Future of Food'. Just plain sickening. I can't wait to get out into the country to raise all of my own stuff.
so the raw marinated beef from my favorite Korean restaurant would be a bad idea
Just an FYI...vegetables can be contaminated as much as meat.
Considering the most significant advancements in pasturazition, food handling and medicine have only happened within the most recent centuries; I wonder how the human race could have possibly made it this far?!
(heavy on the sarcasm)
I'm a vegetarian not just because of "contamination" issues...but yes your right...
lets eat him!
whatever dude! bring on the soylent green, when I was poor as **** I lived off of slimfast and powderd milk, as horrable as that sounds, I've never been healthier. so if it has everything my body needs ill eat it even if it is dead ppl or the souls of orphan babys
Sometimes you dont truly realize how "healthy" you are till you push your body to do things youve never done before etc...
