Greetings all of you nifty and not so nifty Siege folks!

I am annoyingly happy, perky and bouncy this fine midwestern spring morning. Figured I'd come in here and spread some sunshine and/or get my head bashed in.

*passes out Starbucks to most or Haldol for the noncompliant* *winks*

I hope all is well with everyone, and if not, I hope things are improving.

I only have a few "typical" guy hobbies and one of them is cars, well I like almost anything mechanical. I always try to match up cars in the parking lot at work with who drives them, I think it tells a lot about a person by what they drive/ride.
    That being said..

My primary car is a 2004 Crown Vic P71 (civilianized) I have had her for some time now and she is named "Beast", and yes I talk to her especially when driving on ice and what not. The company bought it for me (instead of a pay raise-no complaints however) so I use it a mostly at work, and thank goodness for that with gas prices where they are.

The backup car is one of those new Chevy Impalas (Imposters). *gags* I prefer old fashioned rear wheel drive, body on frame, V-8 cars.

    Make it a wonderful day!!

    Morning [IMG]

I have a haunted Pontiac out in the driveway. It seems to only run when it is in the mood to do so. It was my father's car only has 44k orig. miles on it. When my dad passed away my mom told me to get up there to Ohio and take it home. We did that but, I do not think their Pontiac has ever liked being in the south. [IMG] Either that or it just preferred my dad as it's owner.

I keep telling hubby to get himself a new pickup..so I can take over his. [IMG] He keeps tellin me his truck nor our finances are ready for a new pickup with no trade in...so Ima stuck with the haunted Pontiac...when it runs. [IMG]

It is gorgeous outside finally after 2 wks of thunderstorms solid rain ....so we planning our garden, playing frisbees with the Shelties, and not wasting much time indoors vegging in front of a computer.

I have put my order in too, for hubby to go fetch us some fresh caught fish...we about out of any, he is on vacation next week so he best get fishing bring home some walleye, crappie, bass etc. [IMG] I may go with him...I will just try not to embarrass manfolk by catching the bigger keeper fishes. 5. Got a few vehicles, like most guys do! Daily driver is a 2007 Chevy HHR. It is such a great retro mini mini-van! By far the best daily driver I have ever had! Its had mini-van room without mini-van stygma and gas usage! I drive trucks for a living and my current truck is a 2003 Ford E550 with a 22 foot AEROCELL body. My "fun" car is the first car I ever owned and is still around. 1986 Ford Mustang GT convertible. I removed the 302 and stuck in a 351 Windsor. For a bit of cheap extra power I also tossed on a Paxton SC and a small nitrous system. Nothing to crazy cause wife and kids love to ride around in it. All you mustang fanatics know how much fun it can be!
That's about it for my stable of cars these days! Go Go Gas Price!

Oh well if one adds the entire stable of *crap* hubby has out there as sporting and extra ancient vehicles he keeps around to either use seasonally or to refurbish one fine year.............. *cough*

    an old bronco

    our honda 350 motorcycle
    our harley hog motorcycle

a working 4 wheeler for his deer hunting season tis in fine shape, so not crap..but useless for me to drive around with it. [IMG]

I'd rather have an old 66 corvette out there, a 65/66 mustang and or an old 65/68 firebird..IF I was into refurbing old vehicles them be my picks. [IMG] My first ever car was a Barracuda...*ages ago* till my kid brother/wo my permission drove it and... totalled it !

*gags* I just got back into my office after having to make a run in the Imposter. I sent the Beast in today for her summer switchover, I was hopeful to get to spend the day in my office.

Har! My wife says something like that about me.

    Haunted?

I am nowhere near cool enough to ride a motorcycle. *grins* (or coordinated enough)

I used to have this beautiful red Trans Am that my former boss's 17 year old daughter "borrowed" and ran it right into side side of a police car.

My dream is to have someing like a 1969 Olds 98 with a 455 in it. My wife accuses me of getting turned on by our neighbors 442 when they are out playing with it. (its probably true) There is NOTIHNG like the sound of an old V-8 coming to life and up to full power.

The Smart, is that the same at the same as the 'Smart for Two' that just started being sold in the US? Very practical, eco-friendly and kinda cute. My kids want me to get a Mini, but I just love my yank-tanks or grandpa cars as they call them.

Well today has been really groovy so far, I hope ya'lls days are going well too.

We got in trouble with our first motorcycle back in the day newlieweds. [IMG]

Winter came and hubby did not wish to leave it out in the parking lot till springtime...sooooooooo he drove it IN to our first ever apartment to winter it over in our..dinningroom. He forgot to keep the drapes closed like I told him to do... and the apt. manager seen it in the dining room and got all bent out of shape and threatened to evict us if we not get that cycle out of the interior of THEIR building. Well after he drove it in, he DID empty the gas tank..but......apt. managers are crabby with their rules. We had to take that first cyle OUT of our dinning room in THEIR apt. complex, and winter it over ..outside in their crappy carports... oh how cruel for it, looking all sad with snow all over it.

Our first motorcycle was a Honda big arse one. We got a Harley hog much later on and other few since. HE is the co ordinated one, I am just the one whom knows when to tilt in the correct directions when he turns, but otherwise just hanging on to HIM, since he's the one that drives em. . not me. I would like to but if I would ever tip over my luck be pinned under it and not enough muscles to get it off of me..could be bad news then. But motorcycles kinda just for fun, hardly was room for our first set of twins and us on one so...haha after the kids came, no cycles till they grew up then... and left us.

We like to watch that chopper shop show on tv. We would *collect* them, just to DO so, cuz some choppers and cycles are major works of art on wheels. [IMG] Oh to be a billionarre. [IMG]

I found a picture of our very first ever motorcycle as newlieweds/1971 Honda 350 in the correct color pale goldyellow. This is a photo of our identical *first ever* motorcycle. Someone in the UK is selling this one on ebay. It is identical to our first one. Hubby had dirt bikes as a kid all the time anyways, soo.. motorcycles, dirtbikes, choppers, 4 wheelers pickup trucks and all that stuff he is still into em all. Guess I am too, although my cycle helmet still in good shape, still same orig one, has *peace symbols and daisies on it* it's OLD, as am I. [IMG]

I drive an unusual choice for a single guy with no kids.

I drive a minivan. 2000 Town and Country.

Its good for me for several reasons. When I speed I rarely get stopped, nor do I get stopped and checked for other reasons at all. The police are busy stoppin the sports cars and ghetto lookin wheels here.

Also I do alot of traveling for my job, its comfortable for long distances and I can carry plenty of stuff in it with out stuffing it full.

Though I will admit it is not high on the cool factor, so I have dabbled with the though of painting it like the A - TEAM Van.

    Good idea?

YES! Either the A-Team or the Mystery Machine (Scooby Doo).

I drive a charcoal gray Honda Pilot for similar reasons. Just the other day I was going about 85 on the interstate (speed limit 70) and a cop flew by me to catch the guy in front of me going the same speed. Anything that looks like it should be hauling a soccer mom appears to be virtually invisible to cops. I've made a point of adhering to this philosophy for quite some time, and despite my penchant for driving vaaay too fast, I haven't had a speeding ticket in over 17 years. [IMG]

1998 Nissan Altima GXE...color "graphite pearl" (the designers were a bit...fanciful that year it seems - all the colors had totally stupid names like that, and most were totally UGLY muddy looking weird variations of army green, rust, etc.) My car is in fact, "gray" but true to its exotic paint color name, it does actually have a neat color shifting ability depending on the light, sometimes it is slightly purple/pink, and sometimes more taupe/brown, but mostly it is a sort of gunmetal gray) and it does kind of have a pearly glow in early morning/sunset when it is washed.

This is the 2000 model and the body style is a bit different than the 1998, but it is close enough.

I've always been happy with the interior layout, and visibility.

It has been a reliable, and comfortable car but is starting to show signs of its age in repairs the last 2 years, but it was paid off long ago, and I really like not having a monthly car payment. [IMG]

Yes I truly would consider the mystery van except I dont want to attract the wrong attention from my work place.

Being fulltime military then will look lightly at the A Team possibly with appreciation.

They Mystery Van on the other hand may cause them to bring up questions on what I do on my own time. LOL

    Hah! Same here, Rykus :-D

Currently driving a silver 2006 Scion xA which was given to me as a Mother's Day gift in that year. Still speeding like a bandit, with impunity!

Unfortunately, I had to give up both of my Chevy 350 V-8s, during my Hell Move last summer - the '68 and the '78. I still can't believe they're gone...I miss working on them a LOT. Mainly, though, I seriously miss the VROOM VROOOM VROOOOOM! (and peeling out from stops, leaving losers eating my dust - har!) *sighs*

What kinda hog your hubby have Miranda? I have a 2003 night train, and I like it alot.
Edward you should look at the 1970 trans-am or the 1968 dodge charger. They are by far the best looking 2 cars of that era(not to mention both had big blocks)

    I drive a Toyota Prius.
    Kaisa drives a Toyota Camry.
and there is a jeep cherokee in the drive way, that is a haunted vehicle like Mirandas' car.
