Peacemaking and Musicianship, How much is enough?

    I am working on a Tmap hunter that will only be used for that purpose.

    Most likely to do upto lvl 6s solo

    My biggest question is how much peacing is enough to handle the guardians effectively?

    Is 120 music and peacemaking really worth it?

    I plan on getting Mark Of Travesty and some good skill bonus jewlry so I can end up with something like this:


    100 carto
    100 lockpick
    100 mining
    120 music
    120 peacer
    120 mage
    ? med
    ? wrestle
    ? resisting spells
    ? eval





    any thoughts?

    Area peace is nice when your in trouble and need a quick gettaway, targeted peace is tough on level 6 mobs i find and don't last long. You might want to try discord it works wonders on em for me.

    well im going to be solo on most of this so im going to be relying EV`s... Is disco the answer, I have other ppl telling me to go provo

    Your EVs will get dispelled at Lev 6 maps

    I run this:

    100 Cart
    100 Lockpick
    100 Mining
    100 Eval
    120 Magery (+20 crystaline ring)
    120 Focus (+120 crystaline ring)
    120 Mysticism

    I can solo Trammel lvl 6...using RC. The RC will get dispelled sometimes (or beat up) by AWs...but you can move off screen and invis, and cast another.

    have not tried level 7 maps yet (since I haven'g gotten one yet)

    But to answer your question, disco, Provo and Music....peace wont give you enough benefit to sacrifice disco or provo

    Soze is right. Why waste any points in peace. There is no reason to have peacemaking whatsoever. When you dig your chest precast invisibility. Problem solved. Why area peace when you can run away and/or cast invisibility. Provoke is definitely a must as it makes it all a lot easier. My biggest problem is the single Greater or Frost Dragon. They kill everything around them and I have no way to kill them afterwards. I miss the turkeys. Those guys were a Tmaper's wet dream. :D

    Peacing has become a joke for many years now. It doesn't last. Infact the music is still playing when they come out of peace. It's the most useless and worst of all the barding skills.

    Go Provo or Discord.

    I have 2 peacing bards and I can tell you the only thing they are good for is popping the chest and running out of the way so my Tamer can kill the guardians. They are 100% useless when it comes to fighting because casting EV's is equally as useless as peacing heck most the time you never see the EV it's dispelled before it even becomes visible... that's how laughable trying to use those or peacing really is.

    I'm working pretty hard at discord and provo to see how they do... but to be honest my music is only 115 and my peacing is only 110 but it's jeweled and stuff to 120.

    And I only have 110 magery and I do just fine..... ZERO eval..... I see no point. On the lower level spawn I actually use my peacing and 2 earth ele's since they don't get dispelled quite so easily. And that works just fine on most all the spawn save the AW's.

    Even better than invisibility is marking a rune 2-3 screens away from the chest, precasting Recall or Sacred Journey during the dig, and targeting the rune in the same manner that someone using invis targets self.

    After all, you can die from a reveal before you can react, or if the invis is mis-timed to where they start getting attacks in.

    if you recall to a safe distance, though, the "oops, I'm dead in the middle of the spawn" stuff doesn't happen (unless you really blow your timing, which will happen just as often with invis), and avoids the reveal dangers. Spells and breath attacks that could get started before you invis, and reveal you when they resolve lead to you getting killed by follow-up attacks, but if you recalled, you'll only die if the total amount of damage from the spells/breath are enough to kill you.

    My treasure hunter only does up to level 5, I leave the bigger ones for hubby. Last week I tried a level 5 in Ter Mur and stalled badly, I had 2 maddening horrors and they just dispelled anything I cast - hubby came to the rescue with his discord t hunter. Once discorded the constant dispelling stopped and our EVs were able to win the day. He does all levels with that char.
