Pet Fixes? Keeping pets geen is kinda a pain in the Arse, as well as Crim for healing?

  1. When in fell pets are kind usfull but as we al know they go Blue and have to be commanded back to Green to be safe aorund guilmates and allies.

    Can we please get a fix for pets and Guildies and Allies.

    Also as a red Tamere I should not go criminal for healing my own pet this is just ridiculous. If / when you have to heal your own pet you cannot recall / gate / move long distances until crim timers expires.

    Can we please get a fix for this also.

    I know there are going to be whines about how unbalanced pets are - get over it, tamers are easy kills and then the pets are fair game. We are not very efficient solo fighters, unless you are an efficient solo fighter beforehand. The yes the pets add an extra advantage


    But Please all I would like fixed is Green pets and Crim for red one.

    Don't you go Crim for healing a red player thou? If your pets haven't flagged or just done a criminal action you shouldn't go crim for healing them, But if your pets just took someone out they should be crim.

    The green guild issue has been around as long as I can remember owning pets, which is about 8 years now I think.

    So I think it must be a feature or something.
     
  5. the healing red pets thing is a new issue, i flag everytime i heal my pets... guarded or not
    also im going criminal for other things that arent usual, killing monsters i go crim... looting a monster my pet killed im criminal...
     
  6. Yep this guild-association stuff with pets is a problem, the turning off-and-on of correct guild association should be considered a problem and fixed for sure.

    I have a post about these kinds of problems somewhere, but completely forgot about the issue of being unable to heal your own pet as a red without being flagged crim. I'd seen it happen but forgot to mention it in my post.

    Picture it:

    You're a red in town. You're attacked. You're supposed to be able to fight back against that person without being guardwhacked, and as a tamer, your means of fighting is your pet. But, you go to heal your pet and SPLAT, guardkilled.

    I didn't test that but that's how I bet it would go.

    It's definitely nonsensical to become criminal for healing your own pet under any circumstances. That's the equivalent of going crim for healing yourself.

    As of last week, I've yet to go crim for healing my pet (unless it had eaten someone blue in the last 2 min.)

    There's way bigger issues those. If someone attacks my pet by god make them flag to me! I'm so sick of dexers spamming the attack last hiding in guard zone and I can't even defend my pet without being guardwhacked.
     
  9. I tested this on a red and his pet:

    Cast heal on uninjured pet, both chiv and mage: no crim flag.
    Cast bless on pet: crim flag
    Cast damaging spell and then mage heal on pet: crim flag.
    Pet got hurt by a monster, I cast mage heal on pet: crim flag.
     
  10. there has been an issue with pets not staying green or guarding recently as well as with loyalty. this has cropped up ever since they changed animal lore control issues this is a huge problem in faction battles where we get killed by our guild members pets from using area spells
