Well, after spending quite a bit of time and resources bringing down a Pirate ship solo on a Mage and getting the pirate to redlined (Less than 10% health), i go to use the Pirate Binding Rope on her, and lo and behold, it says "Your ship is missing", when my ship was right next to the pirate ship. Lovely. A major feature of this new booster pack i just paid for, doesn't work. I thought something might've been off when the Pirate Binding Pole moved from the middle of my ship to the side of it, blocking me from smoothly moving from one cannon to another.

Well, I'm glad I read your post. I was just trying to turn in and get new fish orders and all the Fish Mongers say they can't find my ship, so I gave up and was going to go solo Pirates. That would have royally ticked me off to have it say it couldn't find my ship after a long, EXPENSIVE (saltpeter on Sonoma is close to 400 gp each now.....ridiculous!....it should be a flat rate that doesn't increase or decrease) battle.

One thing i noticed is that the ships seem to be character bound and not account bound. Figured this out when i took my ship to market with another char that i wanted to use for pirating, but couldnt get the quest because it said my ship was missing. Went back with the ship owner and it worked.

Your problem seems to be related but its odd because you already had the pirate binding rope?

And just a suggestion, try archer with melee skill for pirating. Found they were the best template for the job. You can still shoot arrows to kill the orc mobs while sailing ship or reloading/ firing cannons . And with good parry, once on board , you can make coffe and read the paper while hitting on the pirate. Worst mistake is to disarm him, seem like he has 300 wrestling skill or something.

Yeah, i made a suit of Gold Platemail with Luck/90% RPD/All 70s Resist for my Warrior that i soulstoned Mining onto (Killing Ore Eles) in order to find Niter deposits in dungeons to dig up Saltpeter with. Drastically cut down on the costs, but still takes awhile to get a decent amount of Saltpeter.

The char that killed the Pirate was the char that placed/owned the boat. I think it messed up when my Pirate Binding Pole moved to the side of my ship after crossing a server line when going from the Sea Emporium to Jhelom. Although i did log off the owner a few times in order to hop on my craftsman to repair the boat a few times. Found something interesting, if you equip a +60 ASH on a 120 Blacksmith while repairing the Cannons, it SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the amount of Ingots needed, and doesn't use up charges on the ASH. Repairing from Slightly Damaged to Pristine took 4 ingots instead of 20 then.

I didn't expect the Pirates to be so tough. I had to wreck their ship by firing three cannnons on one side, saying "Turn Around" firing the three cannons on the other side, then running to reload with a UOA macro. Had Protection on and was casting Cleansing Winds the whole time to keep myself alive against the Orc Mages. Took me about 15-20 minutes of summoning RCs and spell spamming on the Pirate to bring her low, just to find out my ship/pole was bugged. Spent all those resources/time for a measly 10k Death Certificate...

You dont need a crafter to repair your boat. i just keep deeds of wood and cloth in the hold with about 3k on each. when i have to repair, i just put the heavy stuff im holding back in the hold, take 350 boards / 350 cloth and repeat 2-3 times depending on how damaged the ship is.

Dont know which ship you're using but with the garg, if you stand right in front of the main mast, you can operate the 4 aft cannons at once. I found it was the best ship for solooing, cant operate more than 2 on a single spot with the tokuno ship, Orc ship you can but it has less Hp, Brit Galleon is to big and slow.

Yeah, i was using my craftsman to repair the boat to cut down on resource costs. Was using a Gargoyle Ship as well.

This is not a feature of HS. It appears to be a feature of pub 70 going live. There was another thread around here about it last week. I too have had the 'I can't find your ship' response when doing fishing quests. It's infuriating, but I guess we gotta just wait til they sort out a fix for it.
