I have been working on my own game concept that I would like to pitch to a publisher...any publisher, but my lack of skills in game coding has prevented me from actually producing a sample level of the game to send to Publishers. So what would be my next step that I can take? I have asked around to artists and coding guru's but, they are already working on other projects that would prevent them from working with me on mine.

Any advice Dev's would be very welcome

Pay someone to code for you, befriend a programmers who's interested in your project, or learn to code. I think those are your options.

  3. If you have a good enough concept and you can articulate it properly, then you can pitch without any code in place.

Firstly, would it be right to pitch to a publisher? I'd have thought you'd look toward a developer or a developer/publishing house.

You should also think about how you are going to record your idea so that you have the benefit of copyright and do some research as to how to evidence your copyright.

Maybe I should seek out a Developer instead. Haha I guess I should find out who would actually be in the business of looking at new ideas and concepts for games.

Hunter, I'm not being sarcastic in saying this............find a marketer(sp?), promote the toys and graphic novels first, and the game will be a success.
