Normally, I try not to troll.

Here's the problem. Anytime something really good happens here, anyone who can't do that thing comes here & whines til its destroyed.

Ok, so it's going to be hard to be 120 imbuing. Great, we like that.

I even understand the idea of making items break while being imbued. But, thats not whats really happening. What's really happening is we all have 5-20 smiths from 100-120. It's easy to make them so EVERYONE that plays has a bunch of them for the most part. Now, when these same people find out they can't make a 120 imbuer really easily they want to destroy the skill for the people that can and will.

I do this, when something good is out I make one. I have never in all the years I played gotten angry when something is overpowered or in favor. I just go get one for myself.

There should be real benefits for spending gigantic amounts of effort and money to make a character.

    Thanks for listening.

So what are you saying.. don't let imbued items have a durability value, or don't give them a chance to break while being imbued? I don't get into these sorts of posts because others have already said it better than I can on the beta forum, namely that within a year if even that, there will be plenty of legendary imbuers.

Saying that most people will give up on imbuing if it's difficult just because you do that is like saying most people gave up on having tamers or alchemists or poisoners. Maybe they did, but we still have plenty.

Whatever is decided about imbuing, I hope the devs are considering the end game, after there are legendary imbuers and after their goods are in the market.

We do eh? Seems you and I have been playing a different game for the last ten plus years.

I really don't care if I never get to make anything with high intensities on multiple properties. Never have gotten or used a high end runic. But I would like to be able to use imbuing to improve crafted items and experience this content. I certainly can't do that if I can't gain the skill.

Imbuing is different because it touches nearly every other craft. Access to it should be available to a majority of players with a challenging but reasonable level of effort.

I agree with everything you said as far as I can tell.

We're most definitely playing a different game.

I don't understand how anything I said effects your skill gain opportunities.

How does destroying an item when imbuing it have anything to do with any of the other stuff?

You are correct. It has no effect on skilling up except indirectly in the way people perceive the power of imbuing generally.

I went over the edge a bit I guess. Sorry bout that.

You've posted precisely 14 times. Doesn't look like you have caused too much trouble.

Seriously, if you have come here for all these years you would have seen this happen.

Something great comes out. Whomever doesn't do that thing complains about it til its no longer great.

Lastly, I guess the risk would be losing the really expensive things it takes to try to imbue the item.

Let me give you something to think about for a second. Let's say you want an item imbued and you aren't in some really big guild that can do it safely. A lot of folks are in that boat. You give your item to someone to imbue & they steal it and say it failed. What do you do now exactly? I guess people can steal it anyway, but this is a situation where you will never know, even if you see if for sale for 200 million somewhere in 10 minutes.

The valuable items now for people that don't know are items that you want to use that you got from loot with 220-255 durability. Because the longer it will last the more useful it is.

Who suggested this? I might need to read up a bit if anybody actualy gonna try to make imbuing similar to enhancing lol. There heads must be in a different planet thats just crazy. Spending 100's of millions of gold on resources to just get to 120 imbuing and then have them break lol as well breaking along the way. Really some people are just insane.

Um, items DON'T break while being imbued.

However, an item that has been imbued will EVENTUALLY break from use. If you take good care of it, and remember to powder it BEFORE you start imbuing, you should be able to get plenty of use out of it before it breaks.

    That's correct.
Imbuing is not enhancing (even tho it's much more powerful) and the chance to break an item from imbuing is exactly zero, no higher no less. If you know what that means.

You can fail to imbue an item 500 times and it will not lose 1 point of durability nor would it have the slightest chance breaking.

We know they don't now. People have been posting that they want them to have a possibility to break while being enhanced. I'm hoping they leave it the way it is before its released.

I don't know who posted that. You CAN *enhance* an imbued item (two different things). If you choose to do that, yes, there is a chance it will break. That is normal and as intended.

To my knowledge, NO ONE, particularly the Dev's, has EVER thought it would be a good idea for them to possibly break when imbuing.

I DO see people alluding to the fact the skill may change a bit from what it is now. First, those people are not even supposed to be referring to things that are not CURRENTLY live. Second, I can say with 100% certainty that no one has proposed breakage be added to imbuing.

I hope that eases your worry some :)
