Wakizashi, Orc Brutes/Forced walk stack with damage over time, hit spell, orc brutes hitting + Supernova potions.

These builds are ridiculous, perma forced walk from Wakizashi is ruining pvp for mages.

I just got hit every single time without fail from 150HP to dead with 45dci, Alchy and Pots, healing myself with miniheals and unable to move coz of either frenzied whurlwind or deathstrike. Its bent and needs sorting.

Other builds that need tweaked are the evil omen deathstrike that are doing 70 points of damage.

Bane dragons and dread mares should not be able to controlled along with a bake kitsune.

Also being able to mortal literally NON-STOP needs fixed. 30 seconds on an enchanted apple but you can get mortalled right after you apple or mortalled again exactly when the mortal wears off. OP

Mystic heal.. Chiv remove curse.. Spirit speak.. Three ways to counter.
    Run... Fourth.

Fifth.. Attack... Go US marine style and push..

That is not counting missed hits.

What do you want apples with zero timer?..

There has always been templates that pawn other ones.

    No single template is dominate.

How's it feel to be wrong? (i pvp almost nightly) heh

And judging by your age you were in diapers when i started playing UO.

All im saying is there has always been templates that out do others.. And not in a long time a template that is GOD.

Ever try disarm?.. Another example how to get by the mortal that you seem to fear so much.

    1) Cleansing Winds is easy to interrupt & isn't guaranteed to remove mortal. You can put it on Trigger, sure, but I'd rather have Bombard.
    2) When was the last time you saw a 4/6 Chiv Dexer? Mages don't carry Chiv.
    3) Spirit Speak is even easier to interrupt than Cleansing Winds, and has a cooldown if successful.
    4) Run? Yeah, that'll work well when you're disarmed, mortaled, dismounted, splintered/Wakizashi'd, and being chased by a group of archers who will kill you with Moving Shot and/or Armor Ignore before you can re-equip your weapon. You can go Wrestle/Parry, but even that isn't guaranteed.

I'm pretty fond of Splinter/Wakizashi, But I can agree that it is OP to a point.
I would say that they don't really need to be nerfed, however mages/people should be able to apple out of the effect. Dexxors don't have much in the lines of utility, and having to constantly be 1 tile by our targets makes it more difficult for us. So in that regard I think the slow effect is nice to have.
But yes, I would be raging if I couldn't apple out of sleep... so fix it where slow effects from Splinter/Wakizashi can be appled out of.

An apple would be nice for a waki..as for mortal. Chain mortal is "explicit" stupid..always has been. It's just less stupid now.

You're high. Evil omen is a 1 second delay, an apple is 30 seconds. You do the math.

Plus mysticism doesn't work on every template. Why should I have to run a certain skill because they wont cap something that shouldnt be doing 70 points to start with?

If you're on a mage, Omen DS is "easy" to deal with if you self-weaken before they hit you. Unfortunately, that's also where the problem lies - yeah, you can do it, but if they hit you before you can target yourself, you're gonna take full/boosted damage from the DS if you move. Apple is faster if you have a macro, but they'll do it again, it's got a 30 second cooldown, and may not even work.

Mysticism isn't a cure-all. If you have it on your temp, it'll help, but it's not like it's hard to interrupt, as I said before. IMO, the best solution is to reduce the cooldown on apples, ideally to that of a healing potion. Chain Mortal is stupid too - if you get hit by successive Mortals, they should have a shorter duration.

As other posters have pointed out, there are counters to mortal spam.
But if you really just can't handle mortal why don't you put parry on your temp? Problem solved.
    Assuming you play a caster.
If you do not have parry on your temp because you want the firepower and flexibility other mage builds afford you well then you may just be learning a lesson in balance, sacrifice and adaptability :)

Maybe. But then I want a shorter duration for the curse spell if spammed.
I get cursed and I eat an apple. If the mage curses me again right away it should have a shorter duration or lesser effect right?

Frenzied whirlwind should just have a 3 second duration, with a 50% diminishing returns if it's used within 10 seconds of the previous one.
Disarm also needs a longer cooldown, or you shouldn't be disarm-able if you don't have a ranged weapon skill or magery.

Disarm spam is pretty f***ing stupid, especially with splintering weapons. 5 seconds armed, 5 seconds disarmed.... with the current cooldown.
strictly dexer vs dexer. mages need to be disarm - spam-able.

Enchanted Apples - Remove the failure chance so they become more reliable, when you actually need them to work.
Mortal strike is fine as is, There are several ways to heal through it, half of the people here just want to be able to have all the strengths and none of the weaknesses.

Casting focus, any pro-dexer that complains about mages Should be complaining about this, who gives a f*** about curse, when there's almost 20% chance a mage is going to get the spells off without interruption?

Maybe they should increase the cap on casting focus up to 100% and increase the property value of it so you could get up to 15% on each item, but make it only proc when hit by pets or npcs. (pvm/player pets only)

The game has continuously been straying away from timing and relying more on random chance, No wonder so many pvpers have quit playing.
*wonders what kind of new worthless or overpowering properties are coming out in the next expansion*

I've had Parry since before I xfer'd my mage on LS to Atl, since I knew it was dexer heavy, and I've tried a few different variations: On Atl, it was Wrestle/Parry Scribe. When I went back to LS, I went with Necro/Parry with a mage weap, but outside of Omen & Pain Spike, I rarely used any Necro spells, and went Parry Scribe again, also with a mage weap. It's NOT a cure-all for being hit, although it certainly helps: If the RNG decides it wants them to hit, it will.

Does Curse prevent you from healing at all? No. Does Curse do anything to your Strength/Dex that can't be fixed with Greater Strength/Agility pots? No. Do Curse Removal Talismans exist? Yes. When I curse myself @ 120 Mage/Eval Resist, my stats go from 117/56/138 to 109/52/131, an 8% loss. After curse & chugging the two pots, my stats go to 140/83, with 125 HP. Uncursed, I'm @ 148 Str, 87 Dex.

The duration of Curse does not bother me at all. It has absolutely no bearing on my survivability or my offense. I'm able to easily spam mini-heal with 2-3 Archers on me at once, and chug if I feel it's needed. If they Mortal, I eat an Apple or move until it expires, depending on my current HP & how many are there. Dismount isn't much harder for me to deal with, I just keep mini-healing myself/my pet (if needed) & cure if a mage poisons it. Fortunately, these guys are...well, bad, so I can do all of that without much difficulty, but still.

Granted, none of the above would be possible if I didn't have Parry on my temp, but with the # of people playing dexers these days (and Archers especially), you'd be a fool not to have it on there, if you can fit it.

For me, the problem is that they chain it. If subsequent mortals had a shortened duration, I'd be fine with it. I do have Parry, as you're well aware, but even when I'm armed, there have been times when dexers will NOT miss me - if chained Mortals are added to the mix with AI spam, I'm gonna die. Then there are times where I'll be unarmed or in stat & they miss 3x in a row, which is both amusing & wtf-inducing.

This too. Disarm spam is annoying, but nothing that can't be solved by running like hell. When a splinter proc goes along with it, kiss your ass goodbye, especially if they're on an archer (which, sadly, is all the rage these days. And then the two button dex monkeys talk **** for 5 hours.)

It's a nice thought, and I do normally when i get hit with a EO. But the deathstrike is done before the evil omen generally. Usually no room to hit yourself if you happen to be on the run.

For sure, i don't think it needs removed or anything, but its almost made it impossible to survive in group fights without parry. Even a cool down so they couldn't do back to back to back frenzieds (keeping you walking indefinitly) would be nice.

Without a doubt a premise that can also be applied to real life. Something too many have forgotten.
