We don't need the ones we have now. I wish EA would understand this. Write a story line in which Malas is swallowed up by a huge Earth-sink-hole, as is half of Tokuno. Or even parts of Brittania at this point. The thought of even MORE new lands is just awful. The only inspired set ever was Ilsh.

  2. well, I can see how too many banks, and housing, adds to the dead feeling, but to me, the world cant really be too big.

just make the other lands like ilshiner, no gates, and no houses.

I think you are missing his point.

Prodo shards have very limited housing space, and since they are EA's money making shards, they will appease them.

I dont think Malas could be swallowed up in a sink hole. Isn't it floating in the sky? It isn't on the world atlas and when you peer over the edges of the land, you see stars instead of water. Maybe it can just float away.

The first day aos hit; I ran around malas lookign for interesting stuff.

I promptly concluded that Malas is a big digital trailer park with a ghetto (Luna).

I too would like to see Malas gone, keep doom but make access from an other facet.

Sadly it's not possible as alot of chars would be homeless and it would destroy player towns like GIL

Maybe start with the places without houses, make it so no new houses can be placed there. Let the places without houses decay and be a whole with stars.

I understand your point, Speedy, but EA aint making us hang around luna all the time, EA aint making us stay in stealth mode all the time, EA aint making us use greater dragons all the time either. My point is we as a community have the option of using and playing within any part of the lands we choose, if everyone hates Luna so damn much then as a community stop going there.

I agree with you 100% cause I hate every land except fellucca and wish we could come together and boycott all other lands on this shard. Then we wouldnt be so spreaded out (your point) and could find each other a lot better and have a lot more fun..... News Flash...nothing is stopping us from doing just that. We have the power to make our shard any way we like...we have the power, not EA.

Edit: Dont you have a house in Luna?

The real problem with malas is that the gates are only a few steps from the bank, EA doesn't have to get rid of the lands, if they just took the moongates and put them out of the town limits people wouldnt be as inclined to bank at those spots. It's just too darn convenient for everyone.

Agree, move the gate away from town and then remove the guards too :)

It would be like Safe Haven in old days, players would have to guard it themself

Give people notice that Malas will be gone in thirty days and increase storage space on smaller to mid sized homes.

Drop those houses owned by OSI or old homes that because of one reason or another haven't gone idoc.

People would be pissy for the first week or so. Then I think they would realize that hey Fel actually has become busier. Player towns would actually spring up. If I could place a 10 by 10 and almost have max storage then why not place in a player run town and have the storage I need and the community that makes the game fun.

agreed. I would like to see ish shut down and t2a spawns folded into the mainland and some of the larger unused islands.

All are great ideas IMO. Malas just has...nothing. It has Doom and one spawn which no one ever does. The towns are uninspired, and the housing there blows.

as much as i like ilsh for its lack of guards, i also think this is the part of sosaria that can be gotten rid of the easiest...

malas and tokuno islands should have never made it to siege. or at least only in a very reduced form. but with all the houses there ea will never take those facets away. so lets get rid of ilsh at least...

I hereby affirm my disagreement with the original poster's note. I like new places.
