Cant wait for new faction changes. Point farmers are about silly....... and sad.
I think points in general are dumb.
BTW, did you two hate each other when you were in HOT/HEAT together?
More to the point is, does anyone like Restroom Cowboy?
You would be surprised...takes me a few minutes just to load up ICQ everyday.
Nope...didn't have an issue with him at all until he left.
Never liked him, but tolerated him. Much like several others in the guild.
anyone care to tell me what faction changes are coming?
Also im pretty sure my faction farming method is safe.
LOL...I quoted you dipstick...you know...like with your own words.
FYI...15 year old girls and 28 year old men don't mix...oh wait...
Some time ago, Mark pitched a major set of changes. These included, but were not limited to, 3 entirely new Factions (the old 4 being pushed aside), and 2 new strongholds. (One of the 3 new Factions used the current Minax base.)
There is, or was, a special Test Center for it, and there's descriptions here on the Test Center and Factions boards.
By and large, these changes were pitched to the "direct confrontation" PvPers who have joined Factions since the introduction of Faction Artifacts, considerably moreso than the "traditional Factioners." (I just can't think of better terms for either camps at the moment.)
However, neither camp liked the changes. The reactions were almost uniformly negative.
The point system was also totally changed; points were now gotten for literally everything, including healing one's self inside a stronghold and stealthing inside a stronghold.
And none of them appeared to change the current point exploit.
If they are aware of that exploit, or have any interest in it, they haven't said anything to indicate such.
On the good side, they made an attempt to base the new systems in RP. This is important because, at the end of the day, Factions is primarily an RP system, it's just that many have lost sight of that. By this I mean that Factions is primarily focused on holding and acquiring and maintaining control over territory, and at the end of the day no game mechanic they assign to reward that can possibly compete with doing it for RP purposes.
But even the attempt to base the changes on RP had some flaws, as the RP they based it on was odd, and would have required the higher-ups in 3 new Factions to be woefully ignorant of their recruitment pool.
The Faction changes appear to be on-hold.
What if anything will come of them is not currently known.
