How long would it take to get poisoning from 50-100?
And how can it be done?
I already posted one of the best methods to do it.
Look at the below thread:
Unless you have an alchemist or have a friend who is one, you will need to set funds aside for the kegs.
Poisoning is pretty tedious. Once you hit 50, I can't speak for others or a sample size that is reliable, but I experienced about 1.5 points gained every hour or so.
After 60 to 65 I had approximately 1.25 points gained every hour or so. 65 to 80, well it slowed considerably to around 3/4 gain per hour. After 80, well let's not even discuss it lol. It's SLOW!
Hmm, so it will take along time to get from 50-100 damn.
How much fast will it go, if it is the only skill on the person,
Do you get more points in fel? then trammel?
Well when I did it, I had less than 300 skill points to maximize gains since the GGS seems to work best when you have under 300 skill points. Could be different now, but I have seen little difference if they've changed that.
Aside from having a lot less than 300 skill points I do not know how that will impact your gains. I did my gains in Fel. On another toon, I was living in Tram when I did it. I saw little effect to be honest with you.
Then again, I did not try to do EVERYTHING in one sitting or a LONG marathon gain session. The longest times I would do would be 2 to 2.5 hours or so and the gains stayed steady as I have mentioned.
When I gained from 80 to 100 the second time, I just gained under the daily gain system (GGS). I don't recall how long it REALLY took to get from 80 to 100 since the gains were even more ******** to get than the typical 27 hours for the 95 to 99 range in terms of GGS to get .1 of a gain.
Your results may differ naturally. But, it is one of the most infamous skills in UO to gain at...it is so slow.
You do have the right idea though. If for a thief or what have you, you will want to work and finish poisoning first.
If for example, you did poisoning last...well it will take you A LOT longer to get to 100 than if you worked it off as your first skill. I would soulstone or frag every important skill you won't need and store them. Less important skills like meditation for example...that can get worked in a day or less anyways, I would just delete.
You can use a soulstone and then store the skill. Then you can delete it off and you won't get charged for the 24 hour wait until you are able to use the soulstone again.
That said, I wouldn't let the slow gain time from discouraging you from finishing. It is well worth it.
