Or you could just pick up some transfer tokens and move to a more populated shard rather than preaching about something that will just **** off a lot of players.

could not give 5 flying ****s to be fair....just want uo to live not die....

  6. The answer to that is not closing shards and making ppl live on a crowded shard like Atl and actually that would be worse than Atl..

I like my shard.. if I feel like I need more ppl around, I hop on one of my many xshard chars and go play where ever.

    Leave it alone plzzzzzzzz

If you want UO to live, then why would you tell 22 shards of players that they are going to have to pack up and lose their homes and move to a more crowded shard?

You think all those castle, keep, tower, and 18x18 owners on those 22 shards you think should be closed are going to happily submit to fighting for space on a handful of shards?

You can come up with better ways of helping UO than pissing off thousands of players.

UO is not in danger of dying due to having to many shards. Which was my point, has nothing to do with being "fair" has to do with "you think you are right". I come up with ideas for ways to combine shards, but I don't make strong arm statements such as yours where only your idea is presented as the only truth, when in fact UO has/is fine with the number of shards it has now. 22 shards worth of people quit, and you are left with how many players? Assume you keep atl/pac/asia/europe? Less than half of the current players?

Did I miss some UO announcement that there are only 40k players? Or is this just another figure pulled out of someone's smelly parts?

Deductive math based on stratics polls and information posted on the herald. Not really an accurate formula, seeing as how less than half of the players use stratics, and even less would post/vote on a poll.

It was made up based on New Magincia.

The most accurate is probably the 60,000 mentioned by Draconi or whoever a while back. UO probably pulled in players recently after the Ultima Forever and GOG stuff. I think 50,000 - 60,000 is probably accurate though.
