So im working on putting together a new char, and am running into a big problem... My parry doesnt seem to be working. I Build a char with 110 parry, 110 bushido, and 95 dex and 50 DCI... but when I take that char to Lizzard men he gets eaten alive, every single hit lands on him... no, not using a shield. I tried stoning the bushido and goin in with just the 110 parry and upped it to 65 DCI (Yes I know its capped at 45) and still eaten alive. Now I go in on another character that has 120 parry and lots of dex, and the lizzard men cant touch him. Same on my sampier who has bush and parry but who has only 50 dex. Now according to everything I have read and the calculator here on stratics, the guy with just parry and 95 dex should be blocking more then my sampire who only has 50 dex, but it is quite the opposite. What am I missing? The only thing I can think of is weapon skill. The 2 chars that seem to be working have high weapon skill while my new char only has like 33 fencing (He is using a dagger) Does weapon skill really make that big a diff in parry? Man Im so confused.
  2. Very much so. A check is made of your weapon skill against that of the creature. If there's a large difference between the 2, then the lower wep skill character would get hit more often.
