Problems ordering from UO Game Codes website

    Tried to order something from the UO Game Codes websites for the 2nd time in a month. The last time I encountered an error, and I ended up buying a code from another website to play Stygian Abyss...

    Hoped the error would be gone by now, was really hoping that that occassion was a fluke, so I tried to purchase another code today. Nope, still getting the "There was a problem encountered while processing your order." message, with a request to call them, so I guess it wasn't a fluke...

    Did a quick search, can't find any other sites to order a 7th character slot + bank/storage upgrade, and I won't spend additional cash on long distance calls to the US/India from The Netherlands with my cell phone, no way in hell. I also have the tendency to distrust other 3rd party websites, due to the ammount of hacking that's going on with just about any MMO out there. The fact that I did just that for that Stygian Abyss upgrade was because I desperately wanted to check it out. Fortunately it worked out OK...

    Did a quick search on the forum, looking through older pages here on U-Hall. Looks like I'm not the only one with problems with that UO Game Codes website. Apparenly my creditcard's good enough to pay for a monthly fee, but not to order any codes. Really miffed about this. Do something about that website, Mythic! Don't you want my cash? :confused:

    Welcome to the club. UOgamecodes has never worked for me. Won't recognize my name and login.
    People at EA have looked into it, but instead of fixing it, I get told to send in a trouble ticket, and order via that way.
    Therefore... I only ordered SA, and nothing else ever ever. Not unless they fix that busted site. It's 2010, lets get that site fixed already please.

    ok I am glad I am not the only one.... I have been trying to upgrade to a 7th char slot for the last 3 days and it says I don't have a UO name or something like that. I had someone in my guild try it and they were able to log in with out any problems. I was starting to feel like an idiot.

    suppose either your credit card isnt supported, or that the billing adress on card doesnt match what you typed in.

    this normal problems anyways :)

    Quite sure everything is as it should be, I have double checked the info, and then checked it again.

    I cannot speak for the others.

    then i dunno, suppose they might be out of stock of pre-generated codes and need to make another batch? can only imagine that this is possible, without having a clue how thier system work.

    there was a post a month or so ago.. they said they were looking at it... and welp.. it still dont work..


    shame too..

    the telephone number works though.. and the adventure island people get a kick out of the fact that it says push option 7

    My creditcard is supported, and the billing adress is correct, yet I still get the error.

    Hi Lebaiton,

    I have encountered endless problems with this site myself, If you PM Cal_Mythic he will help you out.

    I had all the same issues you are mentioning, in the end it was found that my IP address didnt match my country of origin.

    I now buy all my gamecodes from my work internet as this seems to work.

    But this site needs a major overhawl and they should look at paypal as a payment method.

    Does everyone who runs into this live outside of the US?

    I live in South Korea and tried to do this. I used a US Debit card but nothing, it continued to say there was an error. Maybe it was because I was using a US card from a korean IP and it flagged on that?

    I dunno. It is really frustrating... I just... I wanted those pigments, damnit.

    I have exactly the same problem, purchasing from the UK. No problems on my end just the gamecodes site. In the end I had to go and buy my code from the official EA store.

    Was this Stygian Abyss upgrade or 7th char code?

    I spend quite some time trying to find another place to buy 7th char, and I had no luck on EA Store, or any other place for that matter.

    The official EA Store have the Stygian Abyss upgrade, and that is it.

    Edit: And I know that my IP fits my country, as the EA Store redirects me to my country specific part of the store.

    I never used to have any problems, I used to order something atleast once a month.
    The tried it yesterday for the first time in like a month, and I get that error "there was an error with your order etc etc"


    Is it so hard to get this fixed?

    What's even better is when you call the phone number they refer to when you get that error, there is an option for just about every game under the sun--except Ultima Online. Then you get a representative on the phone after holding so long you forgot what you were holding for, only for them to say "Ultima Online?" as if it were the first time they ever heard of it. Only to be put on hold once again while they figure out what Ultima Online is and how to handle your request.

    I did this once. I refuse to go through so much trouble to buy a company's product. Want me to buy it? Put some effort into fixing your site for those you want to sell the product to. Until then it's easier to buy gold from an individual in game and then purchase the item in game.

    The phone support doesn't even have Ultima as an option? Jeez!
    So the site doesn't work for some of us and the phone leaves you lost... nice.

    Yeah, I've reached that point aswell...

    Spend 2 days conversing with the EA support guys, telling them I want to order a code. Instead, they keep trying to get me to try solutions to get the site to work. All to no avail...

    I've PM'ed Cal. Cal's apparently my last straw, otherwise I will just give up trying...
