Proposal: Recipe Binders

Discussion in 'UHall' started by imperterritus, Feb 1, 2010.

  1. Most craftsmen know what a grind it is to try to get all the recipes for their skill(s). You keep getting the same darn recipes over and over again. Yes, you do have a thrill when getting an uncommon and especially a rare recipe, but that can be hours of work in Heartwood for one darn random recipe.

So I propose a new inscription-crafted item similar to a Scroll Binder -- a Recipe Binder (RB). It would have characteristics similar to the following:

    1) each RB would only accept recipes from one craft skill, and return a recipe of that skill
** Since Scrapper's Compendium is obtained from tinkering quests,
** it wold be grouped with tinkering recipes.

    2) each RB would only accept one level of recipes
    ** e.g. common or uncommon

    3) 12 common recipes would yield one uncommon recipe

    4) 8 uncommon recipes would yield one rare (artifact) recipe

    5) The Heartwood recipe drop rate would be unaffected.

I personally would like to be able to choose the resultant recipe. However, if the devs felt this would make it "too easy", then a random recipe would be acceptable. We'd still be way ahead of where we are now!
  2. Nobody liked the idea?
It's been suggested 12 times already, and you're sick of hearing it?

Brother... I would be happy if recipes would simply stack.

Having a crafting hq for an Alliance of over 150 players it SUCKS to gather and sort all the recipes...

Your idea has some credit... (on my end I just ask them to stack!)

    Good luck!

(yes alliances like that still exist in uo...
