Protection Dismount & Ethy

    Im wondering here, with Dismount being what it is and people relying on it for PvP..

    What are peoples opinion of Protection working for when mounting an Ethy mount?

    Considering the player would still have to stand the 3 seconds in one spot without being able to cast anything, Im wondering if this would be a nice little counter to Dismount, and actually give some other form of prevention/surivial than everyone just running Ninja.
     
  2. i wouldn't mind this, but i would think there should be a delay, maybe 5 seconds if you're in protection?

    Ethies shouldn't wind-up, it was a dumb change that never should have happened. My vote is to remove wind-up.

    Protection spell is an interesting thought, but then your magic resist spells goes to pot, you cast slow, and you have to counter physical resist ... plus you'd have to use scrolls if you aren't a mage. And if you're a mage, you're better off teleporting, invising, then remounting.

    Talking PVP here. 3 sec is a lifetime. 5 sec is two lifetimes.

    Maybe for more epic fights returning. Would be everyone has 100 more HP to what is current. The gear and weapons are overwelming todays lifebar. And in PVM something other then a fatassed GD & versionpire, oh like other templates, may see more action vs the bosses. And for newer less geared players they can have an epic fight with wild GD and Bally instead of toast run like hell if not already OoooOooing.

    Like the weaver circle bonus is a group effort. Add in some in party group effects that improves the loot level (current loot is mostly viewed for unraveling) and special loot drop chances. Getting a special loot drop with 1-3 people should be par to the moonstone gypsies drop vs the big bosses.

    They need to really look at stats and skills. Less new toys. Like med armor vs none med to a caster. Other skills should have negatives and positives. A jackers bonus based on str level. Ninja abilities reduced if wearing any metal armor. Hey maybe tamers should get skill reduction if wearing flashy colored clown suits that makes their pets skiddish. Birth of the barabarian skill and new champion of naked dungeon runs. Mounted archer negatives unless they have animal lore. Taste ID bonus for poisoners and alkies. Crafters with max tinkering, armslore, and item ID get better grade of BODs (not like the val hammer rarety will notice, after years of dupes and imbuing)

    But like most ideals and thoughts added to UOHall, ranks up their with talking to the wall behind me about a greener planet.

    Faction mounts are designed near-perfectly in my opinion. Perhaps they should rather just make faction mounts available to all players, being as the way you acquire faction mounts currently is silly. I don't care if being in factions gives me an advantage or not. I just want to be able to stat people.

    Considering most pvp characters are human, and humans can cast protection without any skill. I'd have to say what's the point? lol If anything just make it where you mount with no interruptions or wind up.
