I play multiple mage templates on multiple servers and one thing I've noticed is: in 1v1 or even MULTv1, a mystic in protection casting cleansing winds is almost impossible to kill. Another mystic can cast Purge Magic and take you out of protection, but no other template can compete w/ a well equipped, well played mystic. This has led to every mage in UO playing a mystic. Due to multiple nerfings, there was already a serious lack in originality in pvp mage templates. Now there is only one template that you can play and compete with. I am TOTALLY against nerfing mysticism in any way, just based on the fact that every mage template has already been nerfed multiple times. I suggest making Purge Magic a Magery spell, modified by Eval. Int. vs Resist. This would level the playing field, and allow for more than one template to compete.
