Primary PvP bow used to be the Composite with niche uses for XB, HXB, Shortbow...

I see a lot of interest in the Yumi post patch. How are people finding it? I'm about to retemplate an archer and before I go burning all those runics for a 40% ssi bow, it would be wise to check out current thought.

Also - is *anyone* running studded on Pvp archer or is it all still leather?

I run a 55 LMC studded nox/disarm/archer. My primary weapon is still a composite. I re-made mine with the 550 imbuing weight. I do run a 20 splint butcher knife w/the Composite along the niche weapons of course.

How do you like it? Specifically I guess I mean the mana management... Nox/disarm/archer...hmm. How do you fare against Nox/Parry/Chiv dexers? I find that template outheal my damage as I cannot land enough blows on them in a row to get the upper hand. mages might give them more trouble (no miss spells)

Increased LMC certainly means more AIs in a row with higher chance for burst damage kill...but double the downtime regenerating mana. If, as I do, you run Med on the archer, the nonmed penalty is even worse since you cannot med back the mana faster. I guess if I were to go studded, I should drop the med on the archer as all its doing is giving me some more (crippled) MR.

The RNG gods smiled on me last night and gave me a perfect 40% reforged Composite - perfect in the sense that the only mods are 40% SSI and Self Repair (which will go poof when I imbue it) plus the 40% DI which can be whetstoned if I don't want it. So...a blank 40% imbuable and enhanceable Composite - wonder what that could fetch the on the open market..;p Lastly, when imbuing this bow, who would favour Lightning for better chasing v Fireball for better interrupts?

I love it, the extra 15% lmc on my spells really goes a long way. If I haven't killed them by the time I am out of mana then I probably wouldn't get them if my mana regenerated either. Honestly though I don't seem to run out of mana before my target is dead. In fights with 2+ targets it can get tough on mana, it depends on how smartly the target uses their own mana/heals. I am usually red on this template so I go after one or two targets before the other blues jump on me. Once the target is dead I retreat, regroup and go again. Most of my fighting is spawn related so a quick way to get mana back is switch to a fast hit area weapon and just leech it and get back into it. Theoretically I could finish someone off with the hit area affect but that hasn't happened for me.

I haven't fought a nox/parry/chiv dexxer with this suit yet. Its either been other archers/melee or the different mage variants. I am generally not worried about a dexxer with parry though as once they are disarmed I hit them every time. As I haven't fought a dexxer with chiv in a while so I don't know if he'd out heal/cure the dmg I can do. The hardest target for me are usually mages with defensive wrestling and 60+ parry. They are much harder to land a hit on. Wating mana on specials that don't hit is never a fun time.
