Ninja if he is a PVP'er.
Bushido if you want better PVM damage.

You can fill runebooks up with Recall scrolls (drag a stack onto a book).
Then, from the main page of the book, you can click the gems next to the destination to use the charges on the book.

I highly recommend enough Chivalry for travelling at least.
The rest of the Chiv abilities are very top notch. Definitely worth trying out, lots of people only take Chiv to about 60'ish.

Chiv offers Consecrate Weapon, Divine Fury, Cleanse Wounds, Cleanse by Fire, Remove Curse, the last 3 which you'll need at least 2FC in order to be of any use so you don't get interrupted.

Ninjitsu for PVP unless you've got parry along with the bushido, but as an archer that doesn't work.

Ninjitsu offers poison darts/stars (but you'll need a balanced bow as you've got to have one hand free to throw) This allows you to Deadly Poison your target at a range or up close.

Mirror Image: Summon images of yourself, helps take the blow and deflect attacks.

Animal form: Run away in mount form if need be (ie: if you get dismounted)

Focus Attack: If your bow has say 50% Hit Fireball, it gives your bow X amount of added % to Hit Fireball on the next shot depending on Ninjitsu. If your ninjitsu was 120, hit fireball would now be 100% Hit Fireball on your next shot (can't use specials and still have the % bonus)

Death Strike: Isn't nearly as effective with archery anymore.

Shadow Jump: If you have stealth/hiding, it's pretty much the teleport spell, but you're still hidden when you do it.

Smoke Bombs: If you've got hiding/stealth, you can hit one of these and disappear even w/your attacked still attacking you, as long as you're not bleeding/poisoned or they cast a area effect spell, you stay hidden, and can stealth away.

Bushido on an archer is only effective in PvM really.

A couple of reasons for having ninjitsu on PVP archer.

If you get dismounted, you can go into animal form and run at mounted speed.

Mirror images (better if your a stealth archer)

Smoke/egg bombs if your a stealth archer.

Throwing stars poison is based off Ninja skill, and if you have a balanced bow you can throw them without disarming.

I would say deathstrike, but that has been nerfed for archery.

If you have Bushido, then normally you would be using Honor (PVM), confidence for extra healing, lighting strikes, and most likely riding a lesser bird.

Chiv for PVP. I normally use it for divine fury to regain stamina (refresh pots can be used, although not sure if they will be effected on the next round of changes), remove curse (apples and faction bandies work as well), concencrate weap, close wounds/cleans by fire, and recalling around without needing recall scrolls. All of these can be done with only 60-65 in chiv (some failures is to be expected). If you take chiv up to GM or higher, then you can use noble sacrifice and holy light. The only problem is that if you turn red or karma drops then these become less effective if they work at all. If the majority of your PVP guildmates are red then noble sacrifice will not rez them.

Focus attack only works with melee weapons. Also can't be used while holding a shield.

It is your choice whether you carry chivalry or not. It is nice for an additional healing means, but it is by no means necessary for PvP if you choose a ninjitsu stealther. Basically there are enough chivalry + items floating around that you can just set a macro to equip those and be able to recall when necessary.

  9. if you do plan to make a s n a, stealth ninja archer, your skills will be tight enough already, there isnt even space for resist, let alone chiv, especially just to sacred journey.

just get a bunch of 20 charge runebooks and load them up.
