Are the IPs of the EMs still protected from non-admins despite being merged with the perspective shard forums?

From what i understand, no ips can be identified now at all, so it shouldn't be an issue even if the moderators could see them, which is the reason we currently have "banned" players continuing to be able use stratics. This is the information ive gotten from several moderators.

    To clarify what Smoot said...

Due to the fact that IPs can be swapped with little to no real effort, and the fact that WiFi hotspots are used a lot more than in the past and tracking an IP to a specific person is not as solid as it used to be; relying on that for banning is no longer viable.

We have instituted the use of the https (ssl encryption) as well as cookies to take care of a lot of things which adds to our security while protecting the identity of our users (from players to developers and EMs). The viewing of IP numbers is not sufficient for security anymore, so the feature has been removed from general use.
