Has anyone tested spell damage with inscription and MAX SDI with ONLY necromancy and spirit speak?
Prolly best to do this on test, but I believe, the only spells that will be affected are wither and poison strike. Though if you are a focused necro with scribe, that poison strike damage will be significant.
The description for Inscription skill states that it ONLY upgrades the damage of MAGERY spells. Kinda sucks that way, I was testing around with this also on TC1 and I did not notice a difference with 30 SDI with and without GM Inscription. I dont believe it affects Mysticism spell damage either. Would like to get a reply from a dev regarding this...
Furthermore, only "direct" damage spells are affected, not different calculated spells like mind blast, harm (distance), poison (skill, distance) and field spells.
I hopped on test to see if slayer books and scribe work with necro spells (they don't) and did a quick test of the pvp setups as well.
Average of 20 poison strikes against 70 poison resist:
Focused-30sdi (necro,ss 120) 18.35
non focused - 15sdi 16.6
focused + inscribe- 30sdi 19.45
nonfocused + inscribe 15sdi 15.8
At Necro i see only poison strike and wither as direct damage spells.
As Myst you must watch this
Eagle Strike ?
Hope there is + sdi working.
I think that shows its working. Though in the case of necro spells, since wither and poison strike, are around circel 4/5 (comparing lightning and mind blast.) I believe mind blast is a direct damage spell now. Harm also is direct damage but also has distance scaling applied. A focused scribe mage hitting with harm at 1 tile distance will out damage a nonfocused mage. The base damage output is higher, before the distance scaling kicks in.
Mysticism should be using SDI and inscription. The best indicator is to test on all 70's or naked 120 resist. When I get some time
